I once worked an IT job. They had plumbing for air as they blew off computers and a compressor in the back. The air pressure was low one day and my lead checked it out. This large giant tank of compressed air had nasty rust water from condensation from the pipes. It had to be half way full. Anyhow, he stuck his face near the release valve and loosened it.... Nasty water shot all in his face and flooded the hallway. It was glorious!

Drain your compressor tank at the end of every working Day. Then the following morning run the compressor for a minute or two with the drain plug open. That will blow out any water than was remaining in the tank.

In the olden days were had to release the air from the tanks in our trucks
But when I had my compressor when I was doing spannering I would drain it at the end of every day
I left it for a few days once and there was what could only be described as green boogers coming out of the drain plug 🤮
