That bishop trick was a nice try but not forcing enough. Especially when he has a stronger threat he can tie up those pieces up once you recognize and have to react to the threat. That tactic works better if the queen is on the same diagonal as the king. For example if blacks queen is on c6 and you put the bishop on b5, pinning it to the king, then this tactic works. Because the queen has to take and then the knight fork wins. He just had to many ways to neutralize your idea. Better probably would have been to bring the queen up and defend the square and then get castled quickly. Good luck, buddy. I just subbed. @chesswithbrandon your not following fundamentals. It's like boxing out in Basketball. Your strategy aside from the miscalculation involved offense only without regard to your king being safe. Other player had checkmate on 3 or 4 moves and you needed to move your queen to deflect checkmate or the move you missed to take their knight and be up a minor piece. 10 minutes is plenty of time.

Focus on thinking about what your opponent wants to do when he or she moves. then focus on checks, captures, blunders, forks, skewers on your moves.

dude how are you close to being rated 1500. You talk about castling but yet your king is wide open and you play 3 or 4 moves without castling.
