  • In this video, Dave runs through a great budget option for communication in groups of UTV's. INtercomm systems can cost more than $1000. Is it worth it when you can spend less than $100 on one of these?

we have the M1S-Pro for snowmobiling-
they are great for the prices! only a few tweaks for snowmobiling I not 100% on, such as with thick winter gloves on, buttons are hard to find. (I hear they have a new version M1S Plus (music share) that I am interested in checking out. the buttons are in different places)
We have been out in -30 weather and batteries are amazing. (Pending on the helmet you may need to get creative on install tho) Our friend who had the expensive Cardo had nothing but problems with them so he returned them and got these FodSports ones like us. I have not heard any complaints out of him yet, and he would definitely tell me LOL My only complaint is that it randomly drops off from 8 people to 4 people or 2 people and then randomly you connect with someone else. (I have connected with other people with Cardo or other brands (on purpose) and they worked well, but they have the same issue dropping off and on again with different riders when your trying to group with multiple people)

I've tried doing this with Lexin FT-4's. Mounted them in gaming headsets for casual rides where we aren't wearing helmets. Had about the same results. In challenging terrain, they're junk. Any obstruction kills the range. Total waste of time, and money for C2C comms, IMO. For in car comms they are a budget solution, although the controls are cumbersome.
They're decent for sitting around camp and listening to music wirelessly.

Been using these for a while with my dirt bikes. They work great! They can be a little tricky when mixing with other brands, but they will work by using the Bluetooth connection. I own three of them currently and would purchase more of them if needed.
