That's a pretty neat saber.
Beautiful intro for this episode. Well done!
Thank you!
Amazing intro 🤤 and review, Jon!!! To everyone saying the new features has nothing to do with Proffie 3.9… we spent a lot of time getting the new hardware (shipping now with OS7) to work and programmed correctly as Jon said. Many many long nights getting all this figured out for you. So yeah we got it working good tho.. MTFBWY ….A
Finally got my first lightsaber. Extremely good quality, and customer service was awesome, and the saber itself is flawless. Thanks for the code Jon!
Nice! What did you get???
I got the Jagged Enforcer. Top Quality. Love it so much!@@TheCollectorsOutpost
89 Sabers makes a fantastic lightsaber! My Cal Kestis from them is definitely in my top 5!
The cross guards are that one look great. I like how the are moveable just like in the game!
Yeah they did a nice job with that addition. I’m hoping they put out an extension part for the handle like the game
from the looks of it this is not an exact repica of the in-game crossguard saber, since it lacks a second part of the hilt.
Yeah it don’t have the extra long handle.
So cool to see a lightsaber with a more functional crossguard than Kylo Ren's. I always felt his couldn't be incorporated into an actual style meant to use them to block lightsabers, but this works nicely for that. Plus Kylo Ren's was more of a single-handed saber, but the 2-handed grip on this just feels better with the crossguards.
I want to get this and his upgraded light saber from falling order when he added cere light saber to his
Represent Jersey!
Awesome video as usual! Can you share where I could find the light up figures you have in the back ground?
Figures are from: shrsl.com/4dm9g
And the lightsabers are custom from instagram.com/chriscustomsabers?igsh=cHpkaTdraWRmc242
@TheCollectorsOutpost if you’re looking for something to review for your next video is the AusSabers steel edition of the incendius if that suits your fancy for any type of weathering and you can get that hilt from AusSabers or dark wolf sabers and as an incendius owner it’s an awesome hilt for customisation and the perfect hilt as a blank canvas for weathering etc and you should be able to get it in proffie
I'll buy one when they get the Cal saber right from survivor, 1x main hilt, 1x smaller secondary hilt, 1x hilt extension for "Hand and a half" lenght in crossguard mode.
2x smaller neopixel blades for single/double and 1x very long blade for crossguard mode.
color save comes from the #define save_state - which is available since ever :) If you got proffies which didn´t save color the define just wasn´t there.
All the reasons I hate Proffie!
Hey there and thanks for all your fun reviews, those are fantastic!
I want to ask you something:
I also have the single bladed jedi survivor lightsaber (with the led bottom part) and want to buy the 89 crossguard saber.
I had the idea to put those together to a double bladed one or switch the pommel since the crossguard one is actually from fallen Order
Do they have the same grip diameter??
For a possible connection or a pommel swap?
Thanks again and lookin' forward for new reviews :)
The pommels do not seem to have the same threading
I can't help but talk about how in the game the hilt is about twice as long, with the unique pommel replacing the double blade's switch and emitter.
Yeah it’s an extended handle. I believe they are putting one an updated handle out soon. Fingers crossed.
Where can I find your intro music for this??!? Love it!!!
Any music licensing site will have stuff like that.
My profile 2.2 cal kestis saber saved the colour after switching fonts... Really Interesting that I haven't heard or experienced this from profile 2.2 🤔
It all depends on the coding.
If only they shipped out of the states 😢
We ship internationally...
I’ve built several v2 and v3 proffie lightsabers, a lot of the features you’re discussing are available on the v2 board as well it just depends on how you code it. I personally haven’t seen any difference between the two boards other then the v3 has more on board memory to store more blade styles
The edit mode is all I’m referring to. Haven’t seen that on the past OS that I have looked at but I’m almost not a big proffie guy and don’t care much for them.
@conekiller1988 the v3.9 also has a newer ARM chipset.
Edit mode is available for v2 as well. Im not a big fan it’s too complicated for me. I just pick the color and blade style I want for each font and program it that way
@@conekiller1988 I haven't altered my proffie lightsabers at all. Not going to tempt fate. I have changed UW Asteria board configs though since they updated the firmware recently and it uses proffie fonts too, now.
@@conekiller1988 yeah I’m not a fan of Proffie for the reason it’s just a pain in the ass. Today with all the other options, for me, I rather GHv3 or even Xeno v3. Just so darn easy to use. I just want them to turn on and have a blade style. Proffie is just way over the top for me. I mean a lightsaber in movies just turns one and off with one sound hahaha. That’s all I need
What saber is next on your review list
Not sure what one I’m going to do next. So many have showed up in the past few weeks that I need to sit down and figure out and production schedule for them lol
Can u duel whith these?
Stab in the dark, but I'll guess that both the weathered grip and the like new grip can combine to lengthen the hilt. I know the Ultimate Works FO v1 Cal Cestus hilt from Jedi Survivor had an extra pommel swap out kit, are threaded so they can combine to lengthen the hilt.
I'm not a fan of crossguard hilts, in general. The crossguards on this hilt, not only being thin and on a pivot, also have to have wires through them to light up those LEDs. I doubt it has connectors, (being thin), so they're probably permanent soldered in. Which is probably why they're attached as they are.
The proffie v3.9 (I GUESS) since it's not being used by everyone yet, the programming hasn't been 100% fleshed out and proven like v2.2. I am interested in the v3.9 because if it can be edited on the fly and save those settings, that was be very handy. I'm guessing the older v2.2 files, since they're baked in, are in read only format in the firmware. So when it shuts off, it loses the changes.
I'm not learned on Arduino, but we're using them for robot builds at work, so they should be configurable. The v3.9 does have a lot of extra pin connections to add more things, like blue tooth receivers, servo motors, what have you.
Maybe if you find a coupler
Also keep in mind as I said in the video and in the description, this is a v3.9 BUT it’s OS7 and that can be installed on the past proffie boards as well as far as I understand. May not run as fast but should work. OS7 is the part with the edit more and new features. V3.9 is the new board. but yeah, I do believe that’s probably the main problem. The new OS really hasn’t been nailed down yet. And I think a lot of people are just fiddling with a code right now and trying to make it all work properly.
@@TheCollectorsOutpost I guess the v2.2 has enough flash memory to hold the config file. I'm not brave enough to flash update the OS on one of my v2.2 though. (well, let someone try to update one of my v2.2 to test it out).
@@chalion8399I would not install OS 7 on proffie 2.2 as it’ll run very slow.
@@TheCollectorsOutpost UW FO v2 grip is threaded on each end so an emitter can be added without a coupler. I've that double emitter set too. I haven't tried combining it with other ( UW, VS, 89, Korbanth, etc) emitters though. Never crossed my mine to check. Guess I have a project to work on.
The cross guard is missing its lower half
They know. I’m hoping they make an extended handle for an extra option.
@@TheCollectorsOutpost I wonder if they have the shoto version if the saber.
As cool as that looks... Those cross guards are incredibly impractical... So delicate. If lightsabers were real, it would also be poor placement for them. Way too low, greatly increasing your chances of injury. Sliding a blade along a blade doesn't seem to be a "physic" of lightsabers either... This seems to grab energetically to prevent that. Looks really cool.... Would not go without design! I also find it kind of strange how neither of the pummels match the rest of the lightsaber. Chrome or extremely used.... Thanks for the video though. Always enjoy them and that design looks awesome, anyway.
Hi, how are you?
All good, you?
@@TheCollectorsOutpostgood thank you
Is there tip drag??
Yeah. Just can’t see it on my blades cuz they are to short. Proffie comes programmed for 36inch blades. I use 28 & 32inch.
@@TheCollectorsOutpost ok thx
@@TheCollectorsOutpostalso i just ordered a jedi survivor one from them, how long did it take you to get literally any of your sabers from vaders sabers?
