I'm so glad you shared this recipe. I make the same one minus the essential oils because I thought they were acidic. Now I know they're not! I'm excited to add some lemon to my granite cleaner.
Citrus oils (lemon, orange, lime etc.) and other sources of acid may destroy your granite and marble countertop... I would use a different essential oil for this purpose, such as thyme, tea tree, oregano, eucalyptus and cinnamon (essential oils with excellent antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, without damaging your natural stone surfaces).
Citrus oils do not have acid in them like the fruit. The essential oil comes from the peel of the fruit not the fruit itself. :)

Can I substitute the essential oils for a different one? Like tea tree oil?
Yes! Tea tree is great for cleaning!
Do you need to add rubbing alcohol?
Essential oils on granite, marble and especially glass causes smudges and haze. Takes extra towels to get rid of the haze.🤪

If I’m using a 70% alcohol (instead of your 91% alcohol as in your recipe), do I still need to dilute with water? Thank you.
Does it leave streaks? I have black granite and of course when I wipe a mess with just water you can see the streaks.

Are all/any essential oils “good” to buy? I’ve seen some at local stores a little more economic perhaps but just wondering if those are natural essential oils?

Can I substitute the Castile soap with a common dish soap?

It is best to use glass or metal with essential oils.
Does this work for quartz?
Will the soap keep the oils from separating and rising to the top? I made cleaner with half water, half rubbing alcohol and orange essential oil but oil constantly settles on top.
Bought castile soap today, just don't want to keep wasting my oil...
