Wow im just imagining how awesome this would be for a breastfeeding mother. They could basically make a powdered breastmilk like formula to keep without an entire freezer or to have it handy. And for those breastfeeding mothers who donate their milk to banks, they could literally make freeze dried powdered breastmilk to transport to the hospitals as well as moms who receive the donations from either the milkmom first hand or from the milk bank. Im gonna buy one of these & start a business 😂

I've heard that there is a company that does that! So interesting and it can be helpful for families using surrogates so that the surrogates can pump and get the breast milk turned into powder and send it to the parents to use for the baby. Very handy if they live far away and regular freezing isn't possible.

I’ve been freeze drying my milk since I got my machine, it’s a winner for me. I also freeze dry mashed potatoes, just boil and mash, place in freeze dryer, save as you did with milk…I use a half cup of mash to 1 cup water to rehydrate, then add butter and or cream from there..give it a try

My Mom coming home after ER shift, was an RN CEN 27yrs got pulled over (speeding) w/ white powder around her mouth and under her nose from White Powdered Donuts......my goodness..... . Story gets even better....when the cop radioed the plate in (yes....the dark ages lol) My father was working the desk. He was a Cop 27yrs Ret. Capt. Can't make it up......ahhhhh the legend will never die!!!

I love powder milk my kids had no idea and now they like it .. I just kept the milk jug cleaned it out really good and used it and now I have a glass jug for it since they know lol

If you have an upright freezer, you can freeze the trays first and it will cut your freeze drying time a lot. My son only uses milk when he makes mac and cheese so I give him some and he uses a hand held milk frother to mix it up.

A gallon 😂. Freeze drying extracts the water from whatever product is being dried. So to take it back to normal you have to dilute it with the same amount of liquid.
Being from BC reminds me of the few years I lived near Toronto & was so fascinated by how they bagged it 😂
