I love when there is no chatter in these types of videos, Just get right down to it.
I didn’t know you can powder coat the wordings like that. This is something new for me.
This is why I like Restorations the restore can often spend time that the manufacturer can't hand sanding fixing casting errors and producing a better product than original
I couldn't agree with you more.
Or perhaps its all cost cut savings with with the manufacturers with their lowend economy vehicles since this isn't an issue with higherend vehicles.
In the 4 holes at the top... I would electrify it to accept 4 light bulbs. And the oil dipstick hole have a pull chain to turn it on and off. Mount it to the wall with edison bulbs in it. Nice job!
Nice idea
@@RetroHax If you go that route, making it into a kind of lamp or light, hope you will share that on video too. Would love to see it done.
I love how in USA it's still possible for the average guy to fairly cheaply buy equipment and products to allow you to do projects like this. In Australia you either can't even buy the equipment or supplies necessary or if you can they are stupidly expensive so you have to pay someone slightly less money to do the job for you.
Well done on the success of this little project and having the means to undertake it :)
Mike Sacher i would like África people had internet to read how bad is ur country.😢😢😢
@@ahs9583 It's all relative man yet not really what I was getting at.
Same in the UK
Yeah the health and safety regulation same as nz u either buy spray cans or expensive shits
Mike Sacher I always hear about how hard it is to get shit and to do shit there, but I dont understand how you guys play such a heavy part on the drift/burnout car scene if things such as simple paint are so hard to get.
Wtfffffffffff
2:50 - That Halfords’s socket/screwdriver set is brilliant! I have two of them!

Outstanding! That would make a good crown for the Mongrel....
Best thing about an OHV engine? Not having the rubber part in the middle of the gasket for spark plug holes, because the plugs go through the side of the heads!
This really deserves a place on a badass built Miata.
Now that looks fantastic

Hi Retro Hax 👋👋👋 very very good restoration valve cover 👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
Very nice!!!
How amazing pal
whats nice about this restore if it is stock is that the alloy used is aircraft grade just a little lighter than aftermarket and it is great you are doing it don't forget the gate
Awesome
OK Martin, now your just showing off 😂😂
It now looks like it belongs to a more expensive car than a Miata, which it came from. Your restoration was a success
That looks awesome. At first, I thought the shiny grey look great and got mad when you started spraying blue on top of it. Blue looked pretty good too though.
Nice job! Be careful following this prep method for cleaning your valve cover if you follow this video. If you use new sand paper you will have decent results. But, media blasting is the way to go. You can get a smooth finish without sanding and the finish will last longer. I use to sand my parts. Now I degrease and media blast until I get a good blasted profile. Awesome end result.
Very nice it would have looked sweet candy red to
Beautiful. You should sell them to car enthusiasts.
Excelente trabajoun abrazo desde chile !!!
Restoration for the Man Cave... Up next, a item for the She Shed.
