How To Change Your Transmission & Differential Oil On A C6 Z06

Just a quick little how to video for those who may not know. Fairly simple and straight forward job to do, but just be wary of the small changed throughout the years.

Quick Tip: Remove the fill plug first just to make sure it will loosen and your not stuck with no fluids. But it will also let it drain smooth and not chug. Helpful video though, I was seeing how you got that diff drain bolt open.

I have an 08 z06, removing the snap ring on the cooling line/drain plug I had trouble reinstalling the snap ring. I figured out you install the snap ring first and the just push the hose end back in. At first I installed the line and then the snap ring. No way it would go.

I have a set of oem gunmetal gray and and a set of oem painted silver wheels for my c6 torch red 2011 corvette. They both look good but the silver really pops and looks classier. The gunmetal looks more street racer "wicked". Depends on the vibe you resonate with. I prefer the silver.

I have a 2009 ZO6 and on that year there are grease zerks on the rear inner tow links and when you have the car in the air is a good time to grease them,on some years they are sealed
