I've been using my Seestar for the last 2 days and have been impressed. As a Lunar and Planetary person I am not setup for Deep sky imaging but I am now.
so happy my seestar came today with a week of rain but still everyones posting how great this seestar only makes this more exciting for clear skies

During the up coming April 8 th solar eclipse when total happens can you take filter off and not interrupt tracking? Watching this vid looks like the filter is made to jam in the scope. Removing looks like it would cancel tracking from removing. Thoughts ?

Of course it always works in the tutorial... After finally getting mine it will not update the firmware and can not be used because of this. Why can't it be updated from the usbc cable? It would be much faster and more reliable. I'm returning mine...

In the video you show a level of 0.3 yet you say less than 3A. What does 3A mean? The A throws everything off. Please explain.
Does it connect to home network (station mode)?
We are happy to tell you that the station function is now available in version 1.8.0, which we launched not long ago.
When will the pro mode come out in the seestar app?

Great telescope. The leveling method system on this is not very intuitive. What about a simple bubble with a center redicle. It would be so much more simple.
Is there a mosaic function?? If not, can it be added through a firmware update?

Sending mine back. Had to purchase a new tablet. I'm not an IT person, but it seems to make you jump through hurdles. Kept having to reset. Never once would it even move. It would say connected. Maybe the UPS man dropped it or something.
I know the feeling my Seestar never would connect to my internet. I have tv's, tablets, phones, etc that all connected easy. Not sure why the Seestar was so picky about what it connected to.

How does the app look when using a tablet?
From my little bit of research, it may only work on a phone. I think I’ll wait until the iPad app comes out.

why can't I control/connect the telescope to my Chromebook?
Because its Android or IOS....
There was no demonstration of the seestar calibrating (plate solving). It just goes straight to target without alignment. That's not correct.
Platesolving is all automated anyway, so what real use showing it?
I was missing that too. Its essential actually because its one of the potential first failing points in this kind of device
It has a new firmware update.. this isn’t accurate… ;-)
No Landscape mode seems like a MAJOR flaw and why I wont be buying one.
This tutorial is very abbreviated and has none of the advanced options.
First, don’t fool people that you deliver the product to their country and after a while you suddenly inform that you don’t, THEN upload these kind of videos!!!!! Service comes BEFORE quality , because when I don’t have the product it doesn’t interesting how good it is.

My Seestar S50 would not connect to the internet. Sent it back. Looking for a better brand that will actually work. 👎👎👎
