He is absolutely singing live. I was 10 feet in front of him last year. Frankie has a way of singing without a lot of lip movement. Those with high tenors, mezzo soprano voices use their head voice. If you don't believe me, check him out on American Idol. Can't lip sync on there. If you watch his entire concerts, you'll see that he is humble enough to include the audience in some of the high parts as he points his mic out to them. Even his first hit "Sherry" was keyed down to suit his voice nowadays, considering that he still sings most of his songs near or at the original key. And then he will surprise you with his incredible falsetto in the song "Stay". He's the real deal and God bless him! Shame on anyone who mocks this great man at age 83, who not only has the drive and energy to still perform, let alone sound about the same as we would all remember. Could you do that? I don't think so! Save the negative comments for something else, or better yet, just be happy and less judgemental. This is a treat and we are fortunate that we can still enjoy him. It won't last forever.
