This is incredible. I don't know if I can take being this depressed though. It's like the soundtrack to being trapped at the bottom of a freezing well.

This is a sound sculpted by the notion of humanity gone completely insane. A masterful dissertation on the paralyzing hopelessness of existence and the inherent inability to find any solutions to it, epitomized in the monolithic "The Atavist's Meridian" and ouroboric "Blood on the Lupines". What a fucking beast of an album. 10/10
Amazing album with all its different textures. Since it is probably no longer possible to see Neurosis, I'd love to see Melvins, Yob and Inter Arma. That would be a killer gig for the ages !
One of the darkest and harshest albums I've heard this year so far. Inter Arma is a challenging band to listen to, but I always feel satisfied when their music is over. Great stuff.
@grindcoremaniac Totally agreed, the way they blend so many genres together keeps the listening experience fresh without becoming repetitive and boring. They've heavily influenced my own sound as a band in that regard.
Thanks Brad @AgressiveTendencies and BangerTV for demanding a listen of the full album. I heard "The Howling Lands" and enjoyed it well enough, but the full album experience is horrific and beautiful. I haven't found an album that left me feeling this raw in years.
You should absolutely listen to I:Voice by Warforged as well, it's my favourite album so far this year. Slightly less of an oppressive atmosphere, a bit more technical, but it has a similar feeling in my opinion.
Another excellent release by Inter Arma! They have such a unique blend of doom, black, and post metal elements in their music. It’s an exciting time in metal to see these genre mixing bands becoming more popular.
The Good Guy that’s because your little bitch ears can’t comprehend what’s happening or what this music is. But considering you are the type of douche canoe that calls himself the good guy and has a stupid ass picture like that as your profile I’m not surprised
You'd probably like the band "MAKE" and their album Pilgrimage of Loathing, they're gearing up for a new release soon and have a similar sound to this record.
Nice slab of blackened doom and gloom, next one to save my lunch money to buy! Fantastic album. Relapse keeps putting out such great music it's unreal!
I was listening to this in the bathroom while doing my sister's hair, and omg I just love rap music like this. Something about those beats and urbanness, and my sister's hair, omg... I just love hair.
Totally agreed! I love the contrast that track provides with the rest of the album, it's calming and a nice breath of air between the slabs of doom. As an artist, Inter Arma have really influenced my own music in that regard, putting in calming tracks to make the intense ones that much better.
@@EscapingAgharthabandofficial well, thats nothing new in metal, almost every metal band does that. If you want to thank anyone, thank Black Sabbath, theyre the ones who did it first on Master of Reality.
Fantastic album and band! Ordered this and Paradise Gallows a while ago, still waiting for PG. Inter Arma made me excited for music again..I've listened to all kinds of stuff, but this somehow just clicks. Favorite track Blood on the Lupines.
Actually kind of interesting but the piddle paddle bass drums need to be retired. Go back to Bill Ward and Mitch Mitchell (and Acid King!) - bring back the groove, I say.
@@Qwerty-ks8dn saw viovod 3 weeks ago in philly with Amenra and YOB (both amazing fuckin bands) Viovod fuckin sucked. Dudes still living in the 80s. Every single song sounded the same. So yeah..Evolve just like Inter Arma has.
So you tell me what kind of singing style you would use with music this dark and heavy? These growls are insanely demonic and brutal. Just like the music
This is incredible. I don't know if I can take being this depressed though. It's like the soundtrack to being trapped at the bottom of a freezing well.
Sit there and take it!
Freezing well? With that cover art this makes me think of being surrounded by forest fires.

@@enzogorlomi6517 Bands can use repetition in songs without becoming repetitive as a band, in terms of what kind of material they put out.
It's harsh, brutal, heavy, innovative, and weirdly accessible all at the same time.
this band is fuckin amazing LIVE one of those bands that live is 20 times better the builds are so much more intense live than on the album
That's saying something because this is insane
Having seen them twice in the past year, I can vouch for that. Way better live. Definitely a must see if they come near your area
of course it sounds better live if the recording session was in a fucking cave with the mic on the other side of the room
They are connected with each other, when they play they become one, definitely one of those magical bands like incubus, gojira, Led Zeppelin etc etc

Stillness sounds like the new Pink Floyd of our ages. Very strong Gilmour vibes. Solid release.

*sludge, black and death metal FTFY
One of the best live sets I've seen in many years. Extreme and heavy, no nonsense at all.
Came here straight from Banger TV. I love that channel. And now I love these guys!
Easily my most anticipated album of 2019! Inter Arma does not disappoint. Can't wait for my pre-order to show up!!
Hath and Inter Arma new albums on the same. Today is a good day for metal.
Yes, as I expected .Album of the year for me!!!
An absolute masterpiece from one of my absolute favorites. I'm so happy with Inter Arma's continued evolution!
Sounds like Cookie Monster singing. Not very evolved.
what was the evolution? always seemed to me like they could never decide what they wanted to sound like.

Been waiiiiiiiiting on this omgomgomgomgomg!!!!!! Inter Arma is amazing!!! Relapse is amazing!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!
The full outro of Howling Lands is just incredible. Faded out too soon in the video version.
Just saw this band last night. They do not disappoint. Full climactic sound!
Thank you for the recommendation CZcams!!!! Starting my Friday work day out right 💀💀💀 Brutal!!!
Beautiful, Crushing. Thank you Inter Arma.

DOOOOOOM!!! Good and different. The old school interludes jam decent. Very rare to hear new bands with good clean vocals, they pulled it off here.
You should check out Clouds, their recent release is phenomenal and fresh!
This album going to rank very high on a lot of year-end lists.
The begin of a new era has started

What an amazing album. This is like the audio form of having a bad trip on a bunch of random RCs.
Rarely music got me wordless...
This is one of those fuckin times.
Album of the year, no doubt. Tnx guys
Music to write, play games, and fight too.

What is this album about? A glance at the title and song names makes me think of British imperialism for some reason.
"Stinking rhetoric"
The full stops after Roman numerals completely ruined my experience with this album.
Absolutely sold on this record and band except for the guitar squeals in citadel. Takes me out of it.
I still wonder why the vinyl sounds terrible.
Genre?
Doom
All of the metals.
For me: Doom/death
"Most metal"
Sludge

They don't "need" to change their music for anyone. You also don't need to listen to it.
Who are the 4 Justin Bieber fans that gave this a thumbs down??
Wtf. Is this 2012, or are you literally 14 years old? Who gives a fuck about Justin Bieber
