Counsell still sucks 😂
I got patience for the Brewers even when they struggle on a losing skid now that Pat Murphy is doing an outstanding job managing the team despite the injuries they faced earlier in this 2024. Go Brewers and Pat Murphy.
Pat Murphy is an excellent coach. He changes pitchers often. No players sit on the bench, he rotates the whole squad, so everyone gets playing time. Great defensive plays. Aggressive hitting and base running. The Brewers are a fun team to watch. The Phillies are an excellent team. They gave the Brewers trouble awhile back.
I saw right away that Pat Murphy was better than Counsel. All one had to do was listen to him and look at his resume. It's coming to fruition now. Don't rule out a world series win this year. Remember the famous quote by Yelich when Murphy got the job; "He's the straw that stirs the drink."
I agree with you 💯. I trust Murphy more than Counsell nowadays and I still have faith in Murphy even when the Brewers struggle or in case they hit the rock bottom below 50% throughout the entire season in the future. But right now, they’re 48-33 and are performing well and so is Murphy. Counsell was nothing but a Debbie Downer considering how frustrating it was for me dealing with the Brewers struggles during the Counsell era.

puts Churio back in the 5 hole and Hoskins back in the 6th hole after Hoskins hits a granny, most managers wouldnt do that, esp with a rookie, and it was the right move, I like everything about this team and this whole organization.
Alot is going right right now.
Our 4 and 5-hole spots (Adames and Hoskins mostly) have been dreadful this year vs. lefties even though they bat right-handed. They’ve been bottom 4 in baseball across key hitting stats vs LHP. Made great managerial sense to change that up! Murph is on it.
They keep saying how our bullpen has the 2nd highest usage in MLB, but in fact, I think we've used the starter 8 or 10 times this year. That means 40+ innings have been creditted to bullpen that are actually from starters.
Yeah this is an extremely typical Brewer move, I'm with you Chuck 😂. Let's see what happens, maybe he crushes, maybe he sucks it up but I don't think it could be worse than Carlos just as of yet. Carlos needs more time in the minors, granted he was just thrown into the fire due to necessity so I'm not going to look into that too much

I want to say right now that I agree with moving Rea to Friday's game vs Cubs. Whoever starts tomorrow ( Kuechel ?) will be a bit of a gamble. Cubs' game is more important. Just consider, we lead Cardinals by 5.5 games. We once beat them 6 straight. Had we gone 3-3 in thos games, Cards would now be in 1st place instead of us. These games are so important.
Billy Martin was a difference maker. Earl Weaver and Tommy Lasorda were pretty good too. Agree with Sparky Anderson. And, I think Pat Murphy is making moves at and above their level right now.
Sort of like last year's signing of Julio Teheran. Was good for a while, but unlucky. Then fell apart.

Nah Murphy’s a good manager for the Brewers and Rickie Weeks seems like a better assistant coach. Counsell, on the other side, was and is still a Debbie Downer type of person. 😂

Dallas Keuchel struck out 7 in his last outing in the minors and had a 3.93 ERA this season with a 7-4 record. 71 innings pitched, so not a bad sample size. Let's see if the pitching coach can work with him. Carlos Rodriguez has vacated the spot that Keuchel now occupies.
I'm a white Sox fan we had DK a couple years ago and he was awful then and he's awful now get rid of him now!
