I swear this ending really hit home to me, I even got kinda depressed for 2 days man. I never thought I could attach so much to a graphic novel

Nearly a year and a half ago, I finished the ending to this and attempted suicide myself days later. It is a fantastic piece of art made by an incredibly dedicated and talented community. They established a connection between users and Natsuki that no other mod comes close to doing.
What devastated me to the point of breakdown at the time was the real possibility of a romance ending this way. To love someone unconditionally through all sorts of ups and downs, to help them escape an incredibly abusive situation and to seemingly have both yourself and her set on a better trajectory... only for her to commit suicide from unbearable emotional pain (inadvertently causing more emotional pain) and taking away the MC's one purpose of happiness, him being unable to do anything as it's already too late. For some, I'm sure this is their life and not just some spin on a psycho-horror game disguised as a cutesy dating sim.
There's a gravity to this game that I cannot put accurately into words - a sign of a true artistic masterpiece.

Why? This was my "escape" from no one ever, truly, loving me. I wanted to throw up as soon as I saw the lifeless Natsuki, I almost did. I felt the acid slip to my throat. I forcefully pushed it back. I can barely type this. Im letting auto correct mainly take over.

I didn't tell you about this earlier in the mod for the sake of spoilers, but the mod isn't just named after a Radiohead song, the story is based on the lyrics on some of the songs. For example, "Exit Music" is about a Romeo and Juliet scenario, where two lovers die in the end. There are also many things the mod creator pulled from the songs. Lastly, the words "Your tiny hands, Your crazy kitten smile" were line in the song "True Love Waits"

I was following this story because it was so cute and as soon as I got to the end my hearts been aching the whole day.
Since I'm too lazy to type a paragraph on what I felt I'm just going to say this has to be one of the best, interesting, sad and anticipating mod's I played (I'm not even done with ddlc rain clouds, don't think I even started yet) but this had me crying for... actually since I saw the hanging scene, I started crying like so much but what hit me the most was when Monika tried to stop me, Because I LOVE Monika and to me just to see that it was even more heartbreaking and also at the end to see the picture is us on the cracked phone, when it turned off I teared up a lot and I was just there crying, but apart from what made me cry I really enjoyed this mod, it was really well written, and everything is just so awesome about it.
Doki doki exit music redux is coming out soon, so I'm exited, but hey looks like I wasn't so lazy, if it's something I'm passionate about then I'll say what I feel.

Rewatching this mod on your channel brings so Many memories from a year or two ago, this gives me goosebumps and made me cry a whole lot. Fun fact, my roommate came in my room and was wondering why I was crying. This mod was fun to watch again and I hope you keep playing DDLC mods because there’s some other mods I think you’ll really like.

I played this mod and the writing is so good it drags you into the story it makes you feel like you’re actually there and when nutsuki hangs herself it’s just the worst thing it feels like you’re there i cried my eyes out
I believe the reason why the ending is so powerful. If you have played this game for so long MC is basically a part of us if you think of it that way but when MC jumped I felt as if a small piece of me disappeared. Well that's my opinion on why this mod was emotionally strong on myself.
Honestly if I was MC I wouldn't have jumped off I would imagine that Natsuki was still there

Its so hard to not cry in the ending, when i watched exit music i cry with 1 hour because of how devastated, upset, and distraught i am about natsuki's death in exit music, Im a call of duty fan but this thing Destroyed me. Im not going to forgive natsuki's father for what he's done
If you could chose I would've went to Sayori. If I remember this correctly you save her from suicide in this story. I'm sure she would've done the same for this character. The pain off loss is the worst pain you can ever feel I feel it every day.
This mod caused me, who has not cried in years, to cry for 10 minutes after that scene I experianced in playing the mod. a powerful punch to the gut that took 2 days to get over.

For the record, i have not played all of these mods, i only chose mods that i heard good things about and ones that i really like.Also mods like Fruits of the Literature Club, A Month With Natsuki, and Summer Hope are mods that are fairly long and are not finished (except for fruits od the Literature Club).I am also sure if you would like Fruits of the literature club because i personally hate that mod and didn't finish it because of how weird and fake the MC seemes to be, when people talk to him it feels like they are having a conversation with a rock.
The next mod i recommend playing is either doki doki summer time or doki doki take two (hopefully natsuki's route)

@@macy5166 yes, he (spagetto or something like that) said that he and his team are working on a new sequence for Doki Doki Exit Music (which was cancelled in 2018, but a trailer was released in October 2019) called Doki Doki Exit Music Lucky
His team include an creator of ddem and in the trailer was written (Coming 2020)

Is it just me or is the thumb Nail the same as bijuu Mike but Alex or igoserawr in the bottom left corner in the thumb nail bijuu mikes ddlc mod for the ending was the same thumb nail but it was made a year before igoserawr

In certain aspects. Base ddlc is DEFINITELY darker as a whole if you include monika though tbh.
