- rough road me gaadi chalne pe steering column se noise hone pe pehle complete steering column change yea fir reduction gear change karne parta tha but now latest ek child part avail able hua hai Hyundai ki all model car me ,iss se agar gaadi ki steering column se noise hota hai too aap ko complete colunm change karne ki zarurat nehi hai baas iss kit ko change karne pe problem solved ho jayega.

I had the same problem in my Grand i10 nios sportz.
Replaced the reduction unit at Sri Lakshmi Hyundai Service Centre,Nallgandla Road, Serilingampally,Hyderabad recently.
Problem solved correctly by replacing reduction unit.
No problem now.
How much amount to be ready?

I faced this problem in my Santro SportZ. We call this sound as rattling sound and is observed when there is a rough road. The names comes from rattle snake. I always felt that it was some plastic part in the dashboard which was emanating noise. Post Initial check by Hyundai Service team in Pune (dont want to name the service centre), they said that the entire Steering column needs a change and the estimate was quite high. I challenged that it needs to be looked by a Senior person which they acknowedged. I started browsing different sites and was about to write to Hyundai organisation with a a big complain when i saw this video of yours. I also took this video and posted in the whatsapp of that service Engineer in Pune. It seemed that the senior Engineer had also diagonosed the issue and suggested this part which you highlighted.. They are doing the change. I am waiting to receive the car post rectification . Fingers crossed.. You are a gem and Hyundai should honour you for this. You saved many people. Hi Sudibane, I’m facing the same issue in Verna 2019 SX(O) and the service advisor requested the same as you to change the new steering column and I should show them this video for the same
Same problem with Verna fluidic
My service advisor told me that within warranty they can replace the child part but once warranty is over they will ask us to replace entire assembly. Blatant way of making money by service centers.

I had a similar problem with my verna and was told by the service center to change the entire column which I did.. I can't understand why many service centers cheat customers. Had to spend a lot on this. Hope ppl like you should be there in every service center.

Hi Abhijit, I have Joined you channel today as a Paid Subscriber. Hope to get your support for below problems as soon as possible. I would prefer to get those problems fixed by you.
Here are my problems,
1) Metallic friction sound from front-wheel, when I turn the steering to right and then slowly move the car.
2) Feel vibration in the steering plastic cover, horn etc, when I drive on slightly rough road. Feels like there is some play or vibration somewhere.
3) Kich kich sound comes from the steering column or from behind dashboard cover when driving on normal smooth road. Sound feels like something is swaying or moving behind the dashboard.
4) When I leave the Clutch Pedal, it makes a 'kot kot' sound at the very last. Feels like some Spring or Dryness issue.
5) Car is giving around 8.3 kms/litre mileage, which I think is very low. I am driving since last 14yrs and I don't rash drive or in high speed.
Kindly let me know if you can check my car.

I too hear the same noise. But it disappears after some time of driving. Is it the same problem? I hear it only on the road and rough roads. not when the car is in a standing position.
