    As someone had mentioned before kids backpacks are great: they have plenty of functionality, many pockets, water bottle sections etc. Also pencil holders designed for kids can securely hold items of various sizes (pencils, rulers, erasers, brushes).

    Your paintings are beautiful and I thought your ocean blue mixes were spot on. I think the bag is pretty but for what it costs, it should definitely have water bottle holders that actually hold water bottles. I'm kind of surprised that Jazza let it go to production like that as he's usually so good about the things he sells.

    I love with jazzer has created what he does is always to an extremely good quality. However, I do think these were extremely overpriced and I firmly believe that these art bags he created with more for people who do singular non-messy mediums, predominantly alcohol markers and also for digital artists to carry laptops and computer gear with them so people like ourselves that use water colours, crayons, paint pens, coloured pencils, basically a mix media artist it’s not the most practical bag out there for us. It’s simply doesn’t have enough pockets or compartments to separate things. I actually really like one that Linda from beginners, mine are mine recommended which is basically a toolbag that has a big compartment in the middle and then it has little compartments all around the edge of the whole bag that you can put things into. However if I want a carry bag I just bought a kids backpack and then I use small cosmetic bags to separate the rest of the stuff in the bag and I found that had way more space than what jazzes bags has.

But he didn't show us one which would.🤔I think my 200ml fruit juice bottle (looks to be a similar diameter to Miranda's sunscreen bottle) would fit, but that wouldn't be enough fluid for a day out.

      @@terrilyon6825 Hi, Terri. _ a Jazza Art bag water bottle specifically designed to fit."_
      I think it's going to have to be pretty tall to take a decent size of bottle for the large bag, though, and from Becky Tregear's reply to my question, I don't think there's be anything practical to fit the small one. As far as I can see, the only answer would be to make those pockets bigger for the next release! But if you can, try Miranda Watson (of Alkali Creek)'s latest as she's actually field-tested the small one.
      This is Becky Tregear's reply to my question on the pockets:
      _"I think in general the small bags pockets aren't going to fit any size bottle, or any that are of practical use, lol!"_
      _"Large bag will just about squish in a standard 600ml plastic water bottle if the base isn't too wide. In general they're not big enough for my liking and I'd want that 600ml bottle to drop in easily instead of having to cram it with the pocket feeling like it's about to bust apart._"
      _"Big Jazza bag is doing well at holding all of my electronic equipment, so that's something!_"

  • @thisnthat42
    @thisnthat42 Před 3 měsíci +2

    I wanted to love the smaller bag when he first announced it but it’s just looks a bit too small. It could do with being an inch higher and few inches thicker so there’s actually room for a sandwich and some of the daily items you might need on a day out, and also a larger bottle holder. It’s just way too snug looking to me, even if I just want to take out a sketchbook and my pencil case. I need rummaging space. 😅
    I have a small backpack that I think is actually marketed at kids and it looks similar in size to this but it’s a bit deeper front to back and the zips come down further so easier to get to things at the bottom and I can pack a surprising amount in it.
    Nice to see how someone actually uses this one in practice though and what works for me isn’t going to work for everyone. I think that’s what makes designing this product in the first place so tricky.

    • @MirandaWatsonArt
      @MirandaWatsonArt  Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@MrsBarnabas region could be a factor; from what I’ve seen, water bottles in the US are a fair bit larger than what we have here in Australia. When he says smaller water bottles, he’s probably talking about 600ml bottles (~21 fl oz?), or maybe 1l (30fl oz) which are what we would consider to be smaller water bottles. Does that align with what you think of when you hear ‘small water bottle’?

    • @MrsBarnabas
      @MrsBarnabas Před 3 měsíci

      @@natmickan In Europe, (includes the UK), and in the many countries I've visited across the world, bottled water and most water bottles of the size most of us use for carrying with us, is one litre, which will fit the bottle holders on standard backpacks, etc. The smallest is 500ml. 1.5L bottles are available, as are larger containers, but we're looking at a small pocket here.
      Comparing the size of Miranda's hands (from seeing so much of her hands against well known art products!), the bottle containing sunscreen which did fit, and the way the set of pens fitted, against the size of the pocket, and the bottom of Miranda's drinking bottle, neither of these would fit that pocket. Usually, if people are packing an art bag of that size, they're thinking of being out most of the day. 500 ml for watercolour / gouache for, eg a 28 x 38cm (11 x 15) piece of paper / pad / block would probably be enough, but leaves nothing for drinking, but I'm not convinced it would fit, though a 500ml cola bottle might?
      Maybe we should ask Miranda (USA) and Becky Tregear (Australia) to demonstrate what would fit? Yes, i think I'll do that. 😊
