The Sad Farewell Between Imam Hussain (a.s) and Lady Zaynab (s.a)
This kalaam captures the heart wrenching moment when Imam Hussain (a.s) described to Lady Zainab (a.s) some of the tragedies that would fall upon her after his martyrdom.
After losing the Commander of his army, his sons, and his faithful followers, Imam Hussain (a.s) came to the tents of his family to bid them farewell. This was the farewell of a person who knew he would not come back to his family, as Yazid's army was thirsty for his blood. In these circumstances, Imam Hussain's (a.s) beloved sister Lady Zaynab (s.a) held on to him for last one time. She knew that like others who sacrificed their lives in the Battle of Ashura, Imam Hussain (a.s) would also be martyred. Alas, the tragedy of Karbala would not only end at Imam Hussain's (a.s) martyrdom. Rather, his martyrdom would only mark the beginning of sorrows and unbelievable pain for his sister, Lady Zaynab (s.a).
May Allah accept this humble attempt to present some of the hardships of Imam Hussain (a.s) and Lady Zainab (s.a), and forgive our shortcomings.
