Shiva is the only god even demons worship him. All other gods also worship him and hence he is known as boothnath ( Lord of ghosts ), at the same time he is also known as mahadeva ( commander of all gods). He is very very kind to everybody. This is the reason there were instances in history that some demons tried to manipulate Shiva using his kindness against him to destroy Lord Shiva and Lord Shiva had to be saved by Vishnu. Vishnu took mohini avatar ( female form) to save Shiva and killed the demon called bhasmasur. Vishnu is another form of Shiva or Shiva is another form of Vishnu both are same and hence they both are known as sipivishta. Lord Shiva is also known as bolennath which means he even accepts those who are addicted to weed thus he respects and accepts everybody despite he is supreme. He is the only god who gives second chance for lost souls who are trapped as ghosts to get liberation from ghostly trap after death. Shivam means pure. Lord Shiva drank an ocean of poison to save the world from poison. Welcome to the journey.

I have never used a mantra that had more than three syllables. This is amazing, the calm that descends after just a minute. This voice! Frank Sinatra has nothing on this voice :) What a blessed find.
I also like the gayatri mantra by brahmin (technically been listening to it for years, so much so my Daughter has learned the words before she was seven). There are four vedas this seems to be derived of the rig veda, as well. Checkout the sanskrit channel, vedicheritage.gov.in i discovered after the introductory video.
