Ari's stand up routine was one of the better ones I've heard on this segment in a while.

It's probably inspired by that and if that's the case that's why it's so funny. To be fair Ari focused more on the gender stereotype rather than the language issues that Carlin referred to but it's refreshing to see someone looking at George Carlin's work and getting inspired to make his own. One of the funnier sketches in recent years to be fair.

PC comedy for adults?
I actually skipped through it towards the end... and I love Carlin (and Pryor). Carlin mocks humanity as a whole and the crappy systems we (and our greed) implement, the awkward habits and judgements we have and he wraps his stories up in a neat little package, connecting A B and C of his joke to show something ridiculous about ourselves or society... Ari is too sweet and just did a small segment and exaggerated it to an absurd extent (the pilot talking gibberish, all the old men being conservative, 'wow' being a bad thing...). It lacked depth and balance, imo and wasn't believable as a premise. Carlin would've at least burned the old men to the ground, for having a double standard - 'sarcasm, irony & wit' as his middle name.

Probably because after hearing the joke, people stopped taking WOW flights!! Probably....

Eisenwulf666 his name is actually like, a regular family name. the vast majority of icelanders names end with son or dóttir but some people have family names that just pass through the generations.
We used to have the same here in Sweden but nowadays the "-son" names just gets inherited and we don't change them =)

Definately the funniest episode in a long time imo
The joke Tom told at 11:06 is a variation on a really old joke from around 1900, told many times in many forms, but often attributed to Winston Churchill, Groucho Marx, or Oscar Wilde. A man and a woman are arguing and the woman says something like “If I were married to you I would put poison in your tea!” And the man replies “If I were married to you I would drink it!”
Liked Ari right from the 1st joke. New to the show & starts the jokes off with a strong one. Would like to see him back on the show

Ari is the weakest link in this episode, bar none.
It seems people watch this show for different reasons now, name one joke that any of the young lot did, besides James, that wasn't vulgar or offensive and was actually funny. There's already 114 people agreeing with a similar comment to mine compared to the measly 3 people disagreeing, showing that the majority prefer his approach over the usual members
