Since Candice and I are both Chinese, we thought it would be fun to challenge each other to make out version of a modern cheongsam! She sent me the most gorgeous floral bedsheet and I turned it into this cheongsam/qipao inspired matching set!

I love your videos. I wondered why you gathered that sleeve under the arm instead of on top? I’ve just never seen it done that way. Is that a Chinese thing? I guess I could see that you didn’t want the top to be puffy, but I don’t see why the pattern has an oversize sleeve and you have to gather under the arm.
