- Phillip Muirhouse was on a promotional tour for his book on supernatural phenomena. His publishers scheduled a radio interview inside The Monte Cristo Homestead, known as the most haunted house in Australia. He planned to stay inside the house for one night. The events were recorded in real time on audio devices and motion-activated cameras. By morning three people were dead. This is the footage.

synopsis seems to be for a completely different film,and one moment they are saying he disappeared,although at the beginning of the film he is being arrested for attacking a policeman,not sure whats going on here
I love the part while in the cemetery he says there’s more than one spirit here 😮

Spirit at Monte Cristo absolutely deserve peace, it will always be their home. The Ryans have made it their $15 entry side show with tacky Halloween props and second hand shop style overcrowding of objects and clutter. I visited in 2015 and was discusted at Olive Ryans unwelcoming attitude towards some visitors. I loved the homestead, i took many pictures, that proved beyond a doubt Spirit activity in various areas not just within the homestead, but in a tree near the gazebo area a boy about the age of 6 sitting in a tree and Mr Crawley's entire face in the window behind the swing set the at the entry to the grounds (where you pay). I have the utmost respect for the Spirit World always have, always will. Breaks my heart to see an entire family literally taking the piss out of them!!
Why spoil the ending for those who have not watched it yet.

Ian PF McDonald did an excellent job acting on hid own when the whole crew should have been there but wasn't. Better than I expected. Thank you. A fan from NYC. ❤❤❤

It was entertaining, could've done so much more with this movie though.
It got some real tension towards the end, but, man, did it take its time!!!!!! Interesting, but is in need of some radical edititing. Thanks for the experience though..

There's no mystery to it right from the get-go I can tell with this was going to be
I READ A BOOK YRS AGO...CALLED THE MUIR HOUSE AND THE EASTER HOUSE...IT WAS SET ON AN ESTATE IN SCOTTLAND BACK IN THE EARLY 80'S... BASICALLY A SUBSIDIZED HOUSING FOR LOW INCOME BUT 99% OF THE OCCUPANTS WERE INTRAVENOUS...DRUG USERS... 💉 I ENJOYED THE BOOK VERY MUCH...✌

Ok to clarify : Big Spoilers................................. So Phillip is freed from the wardrobe cabinet by the 'entity' that locked him inside. This happens as the crew is arriving to help him film. Phillip kills both of them with the hammer & then kills "Kate' the owner when she returns that morning. In the end credits we hear Kate on the phone calling the police after finding the two dead film crew members. We can guess moments latter Phillip kills her & then leaves the house walking down the road, as we see in the start of the film.

Stupid line of the movie, “This is the Balcony, off the second floor of the house.” Aren’t all balcony’s on the second floor of a two story house?

There are houses slightly elevated so their first floor has a “balcony”. My friends house has a balcony in the first floor which is basically zero floor. The entrance is level but the backyard is beyond the level so the exit to backyard is through a terrace/balcony with stairs. But I understand what you are saying in the context of the house from the video.
Wow 1.15.39 minutes of my life I won't get back, did I miss it, the synopsis says there were 3 dead by morning, sorry when did that happen, never again, should have trusted my own judgement. It was so slow at one point I had to check I hadn't paused it.
I think when Kate got to the house, she brought two other crew members with her to help her record. From there, the thing possessing Phillip killed those two members and then Kate (just assuming this from when the credits were going)

I don't see this as a horror.. More like poorly acting one man documentary what was boring to watch because nothing much happening. No ghost, no blood, no scary parts.. Even real documentaries are much more interesting to watch. I think this was poor or maybe I have just watched too much horror movies lately in my horror marathon.. I might not cheering for this film but still as new subscrider:

The Haunted House is so so so pretty, so good scenery to be sincere, but there isn't appearance of ghosts, is more a paranormal activity style, nice minimalistic flashy-laser effects or lines, could be added more of the techniques, the actor is simple but reacts well on the creeaky noises and pumps floors, yes, but there is a hole on the story... after he is trapped on the furniture, what happened to him when during the daylight appears wandering on the road with a hammer? not explained! Anyway the House is sooo great compared to the AWFULL BlackWellGhost Houses, the 3, 4, 5 movies with that Malibu awwwfull style SUCKS? please? Come On horrible choice! Good Introduction of the mistery if a bit "loose" but Muirhouse could be a good resource to do a sequel
