- New Balance and JJJJound recently released their newest project - this time on the ever popular 2002R silhouette. Done in a "Storm Blue" colourway, it incorporates mesh, 3M panels, and soft suedes throughout the upper, with JJJJound branding, its signature blacked-out "N" logo, and more. In my humble opinion, I love the jjjound collabs because of the muted colors with the black “N” logos. I feel that just makes them so easy to put an outfit together around. I only have the 991 but looking to add these before the price gets insane

While I appreciate the JJJJound aesthetic, I have more than enough 2002r's in my rotation. Besides, I just received my Carhartt WiP x NB 990v6 and much rather wear those right now. Great review as always!
Agree....and I think there isn't any other more comfortable NB shoe than the 990v6 and because of this the 2002rs are just too fckn stiff and not as comfy. The colorway is nice, but the color will not help the show in being comfy so I will stick to only one 2002r 🤣

These and the stone islands that just dropped are my fav new balance drops this year. Got the jjjjounds in today. Just need that stone island to come in😍
I'm a MiU fanboy anyway but these just don't do it for me. I do appreciate the little details like the thicker laces, tongue branding, and basic 3m hit at the front of the laces, though.

I used to think that jjjjound’s colorways look GR. But when I look thorough all the GR 992, 991, 990, I haven’t found one that looks like jjjjound. Colors is something so easy that anyone can do right? Or maybe not? I do appreciate jjjjound’s colorway coz they already spent the time teasing out all the different shades and curated their color palate painstakingly.
I really liked this color. Tried, but got the spinning “wheel of death!!” wish I had smaller feet sometimes.

Hi Sean, big fan of your videos. Can I please check if these shoes were made in China or Vietnam? I have several 2002r made in both countries and I find the fit differs slightly between them ie one fits tighter in the toe box than the other. Thanks a lot and keep the videos coming! 😁

By the way Sean have you seen the Saucony and Beams collaboration on the Spot-Bilt Sonic high top? It’s literally looks pretty much exactly like a Jordan 1 Chicago. 😄 Kinda silly, but I am glad I got them; they look just as good as a Chicago does.
there's literally a GR 2002R that's the same colorway but the colors are switched around a bit lol
How do these feel comfort and support wise compared to 990v3 and 991?
more comfy than 991. similar level to the v3 but a bit squishier whereas the v3 has more

I took the L on release day and ended up paying resell the same day on goat, I should I have waited for till today cause they are at a steal price now lol
Solid pair as always, but yeah not worth the resale price or hype. But honestly the 2002R just feels like a kind of boring shoe without the protection pack distressing. I'd rather see this colorway on better shoes, like 990v3/4/6, 992s, 993s, even maybe 991v2s. But that's just my opinion.
There are so many shades of blue..Jjjjound chose and utilized these particular shades very well...Ive neber seen this shade of blue used on a NB.. I love the deep midnight navy that they used in their V4 as well
Saying these are pretty plain outside of the jjjjound branding is not being negative....its just being honest. JJJJOUND makes the most immaculate GR colorways. I mean that seriously and with all due respect. Simplicity isn't always easy and jjjjound always knocks it out of the park with clean, wearable colorways. The caveat is, the final product is just a great GR colorway. Worth the appreciation but not worth the resel value imo.

For me a collab should be something special , a little diffetent that stands out from your bog standard GR so these for me just arent it! I get their aesthetic of being understated etc but this pair is really taking the piss 😅

They’re nice, sucks that JJJJound’s releases are such a bot fest. Being almost local to them, with no chance to cop, really sucks IMO.
L for my size so I picked my GF’s size and W them for her. I don’t think I’m going to get them on resell especially they are not MADE ones.
