    Thanks for this.. I'm quite new to the whole backing track concept.. But looking at just adding some simple pre recorded tracks from Reaper to fill out the sound of a small band..I already use Gig Performer for my various keyboard patches.. I noticed it seems to let me play multi tracks direct within it already.. Do you think there is any need to go to Abelton if our needs are pretty simple? Eg 'Start backing track.. Play along with it.' Couldn't we just keep this simple and do it all within Gig Performer? Thanks!

      The short answer is yes! The downside is that if you want to start midway through a song for rehearsal you can’t. You also cannot change the tempo, and the tempo may or may not line up with the clock. That being said, for simplicity, it could totally work.

      @@LiveKeyboardist Thanks for that.. That is a great point re starting mid song..I'd probably be best still using Reaper for practices. Thank you!

    Hey bro I'm trying to work out how just to setup GP and Ableton just so the mic with FX's goes from GP to Ableton so I can record with no latency... Can anyone help? It's strange there's no CZcams videos on this basic setup, can someone please help... I'm a musician that just wants to play music but all the technical stuff and latency is getting in the way of me creating... any help is appreciated from anyone x

    How do I sync with Cubase 10.5 or Fl studio 20?

    • @LiveKeyboardist
      @LiveKeyboardist  Před 3 lety

      I don't know these programs well. But I know that Gig Performer will receive time code so long as your other program can send it. Cubase definitely can. Here is an article that shows how to set it up. steinberg.help/cubase_pro/v10.5/en/cubase_nuendo/topics/synchronization/synchronization_sync_mode_c.html

      Hey there! I don’t have a video on this, but all you need to do is send clock info from logic. Here’s a video how to do it. Once you do, you can set rack spaces or song parts to receive from external clock. czcams.com/video/OqpP9p0pwgQ/video.html

      Is the rack space set to receive external clock? And can you confirm time is running on both programs?

      @@LiveKeyboardist yep, set to receive external clock. Time is running on both programs how so?
