I have a lot of respect for Jesse Kotton. Dude is a true strategist, as someone who has a pure math major it was awesome to hear how he used Calculus and probability in some of his past deck profiles. Incredibly skilled at the game and Humble.
And he became more social after the duel night series

I think that next tag duel would be so much better and interesting if you can’t see your tag partners hand so it’s like the show you can see what they play facedown everything on field is shared but hand should be private so you really have to trust your partner

And if Charlie, didn't cheat out The Creator with Tribute Doll (which only specials level 7 Monsters) but instead tribute set the Creator by tributing Stratos and the Cloudian, they would have had a nice defensive set up against Neos, and by doing this play Jesse's brick hand would have been nice fodder for Creators effect.
But at least you guys had some fun :)
Been playing duos for YEARS now and it’s my favorite way to play Yugioh by far. Solos are more skillful, but duos offer so much more fun along with plays you’d never see in solos. Love this stuff

Meh like it would be cool but most meta decks need all the space on the board to perform and can handle there own, like I rock D/D/D and i need all the spaces on the board and I could 1v2 if my opponents if they have no hand traps, nibiru, or dark ruler no more.

Oof. The moment I saw Charlies and Jesse's deck I knew Sam and Triff were going to win. But here is the run down:
1. Jesse's deck is strange, his deck revolves around nothing but tribute fodder for Charlies in one of the most bricky vanilla garnet decks ever seen. (Which is shown every time he draws and does nothing but set and pass) with spells and traps that doesn't stalls for turn and instead requires other vanillas to be on the field to be useful, which can telegraph what they maybe doing. The fact that Sam predicted this is very telling. The worse he can do is "Justi-Break" but what are they going to do when a E-Hero Neos or other vanillas is on the field?
2. Charlies deck is just brick central, contains 19 tribute summon cards. And as predicted can't do anything without going minus his entire hand in order to play on top of having the same issues as Jesse's deck with spells and traps only for tributes. Only 1 stall in swords of revealing light and 3 to stop a single attack with.
3. Sam and Triffs' deck is pretty much in harmony. Both having the ability to summon and interact with each others turn with a healthy number of lv 4 or lowers in each other's deck meaning a consistent flow of monsters to control the board presence, on top of having an on demand searcher and card removals. What's the worse Jesse can do? Summon a vanilla only to get beat over consistently?
Basically just simply focus on Jesse's plays and stop him doing anything and their whole strategy just collapses. The supplier can't provide tributes thus Charle's deck can't do anything, no monsters to summon nor can he use most of his spells and traps anyways.
I personally think if both Charlies and Jesse were to build nothing but early 2000s recruiters (Mystic Tomato, Nimble Momonga, ect.) to bounce off each other plus having at least 3-5 tributes with stall cards like Negate Attack, Cylinder or any other monster remove on BOTH decks, they could simply dominate or be on equal footing. They can also try cards like Kaiser Sea Horse that can be treated for as 2 tributes. And also cut the Blue-eyes, out of all the 3k beat sticks, why a Blue-eyes?
This episode was a one sided beat down, with it somewhat painful to watch. Where Sam and Triff gets free turns due to Charlie practically unable to do pretty much anything at all.
I know Charlie loves gimmick decks/strategies but there is a difference between that and building a deck that is practically unplayable (without outside help that is).

As bad as that beatdown was, it was actually even worse for Charlie and Jesse...there was an illegal play at 22:20. They used Tribute Doll to summon The Creator, but Tribute Doll can only special summon specifically level 7 monsters, not level 7 or higher, and The Creator is level 8. Meaning they can't summon The Creator, they can't rez another monster with him, and therefore they can't summon Plasma.
Idk what it is about The Creator and his dark counterpart, but he seems to be a recurring issue when it comes to goofed plays. lol
i just want to say Duel night series is the best dueling series. Because of the high skill level with Sam ,Jesse, pen God and the rest of the guys and the entertainment factor help but keep it up i have learned so much. seeing how top guys think and build decks helps us to play and think better
