My favorite season of GX
I love that the Dub ends the season with Syrus saying "[Jaden] up there, in the stars" then ending the series there. so if you think about it, dubbed GX ends with killing off Jaden.
But at least he is at peace and is with his real friends
This season seriously made me hate Chancellor Sheppard. He invited Viper to the island, made him force the students into dangerous duels (completely brushing off Crowler and Bonaparte's concerns... them having more sense than Sheppard here REALLY tells you a lot about both parties), then left the Academy out of nowhere once things got too out of hand. Sure, he helped with finding the Rainbow Dragon tablet, but that won't erase any of the trauma he put the entire Academy through, all to help "the chosen one" mature. (And I'm not bashing Jaden when I say that, he's my favorite YGO protagonist, I'm just addressing Sheppard's tunnel vision towards Jaden specifically, and how he prioritized his growth over the others' well-being to reckless levels in this season).
The Zane vs Jesse/Yubel duel is my pick for best duel in the whole franchise. Absolutely fantastic

@@MrRedbull901 Honestly both duels were great. Yubel Vs Adrian was bonkers but in the best possible way but Zane Vs Yubel was very heartfelt and didn't really have any misplays just a really great duel.
It is in my top 10 for sure, that arc v duel between x-saber vs superheavy was also neat.

Cool how they paused the schoolyear for the potential end of the world so season 4 could continue jaden and friends' 3rd and final year. (Japanese high school is 10th 11th and 12th for those who don't know)
Season 4 had such a mature vibe while s3 had a mixed vibe and great character development, so yeah, s3 peak

Easily one of my favourite series of GX. The character investment is god tier and characters like Adrian are so underrated. About my only complaint about this series is we should’ve had Aster Vs Supreme King Jaden D-Hero Vs Evil Hero
Alexis, Chazz, Syrus, Hassel berry and Atticus were fools in this season, and they are Jaden's friends? No

Still by far the best season of the show.
S1 was cool and relatable but weak villains drove it to be mediocre.

Season 4 is basically an extension of Season 3 by wrapping up the investment placed in Jaden and the other cast members throughout. Short but still great all the same.
