Sir, I want to burst your bubble by saying that what Mr. Annamalai has said is the truth and that you are wrong. In her book, The Tatas, and other Parsees, the author, has on page 41 mentioned the following which I will quote. "In 1961, the elderly politician Mr. C Rajagopalachari wrote to JRD asking him to contribute to the newly formed right-wing Swatantra Party. Rajaji said that, though he was aware that the Tatas funded the Congress, he felt that it was the group's patriotic duty to assist the opposition. JRD accepted the argument and did donate money to the Swatantra Party, this move made PM Nehru unhappy". Historian Ramachandra Guha recounting the exchange of letters between JRD and the PM has mentioned that there is no Indian Industrialist alive today who has the political sagacity or the moral courage of JRD Tata. Hope I have convinced you about what Mr. Annamalai has mentioned. As I do not know of what Dr. Ranganathan had spoken, it would be wrong on my part to comment.
@@virafmehta4296 Sir, you have kindly failed to mention the 'statement' Mr Annamalai has quoted above. Mr Nehru didnt appreciate Mr Tata funding Swatantra Party, thats all you said. What Mr Annamalai has said is a whole lot more than that. There is some fact checking which was done earlier, it could be extrapolated to this matter as it pertains to the relation Mr Tata and Mr Nehru shared. I will share the link below.

JRDs conversation with PM Nehru mainly focused on the Communists and how they would be detrimental towards India's growth if they were not checked.

But still we can't deny the fact that certain disagreements of the past are extrapolated and used by politicians to build narratives and propaganda.
