- Klipsch R-112sw 12 inch vs Bowers & Wilkins asw608 8 inch active Hi-Fi home subwoofer sound and bass test. Very similar performance both subs - Klipsch Reference versus B&W. Both subwoofers cost around $500. The bowers & wilkins asw608 powered subwoofer is very small and compact, but very musical and powerful. The Klipsch Reference R-112SW is very huge, big subwoofer, that can deliver very loud sound.

So what’s the results? We can’t tell behind a our screen
I was reluctant to buy a subwoofer for my set (Yamaha R-N800A+ B&W 603 S3), the 600s were placed in the corner, in a small space, so there was plenty of bass. But this little bastard 608 (the only one i managed to squeeze into the small gap between the loudspeaker and the wall) highlighted the lows quite well and gave them a bit more texture.
In typical instrumental pieces its role seems rather small (with bigger speakers i mean), but it can put some effort when you ask for it :)
If you are looking for something to listen to music in good quality, not necessarily loud, this is the one to choose imo.

they are active subwoofers, both have integrated amplifiers.
that 8 inch subwoofer play lowder with same frequency i hear...
that Bowers & Wilkins asw608 is amazing subwoofer, closed box, so compact box, but so musical performance.
Another other suggestion to look at for musical subwoofer in this price range?
I suggest before buy listem them.
I like 8"B&W + matc used in conjunction with fullrange hi end very goods

I love bower, so compact, play lower than klipsch, also more features and better for music. Klipsch is good for home cinema or when you need very loud bass. Also so big box make you real basshead in friend eyes like hero.

I got one off those B&W subs a full set off speakers of B&W and a Yamaha AMP for free but I don’t know how to set it up

El B&W es mucho mas presiso y rapido bajos apretados y mas acertados sin embargo siento que el klipsh en peliculas si seria la mejor opcion bajos mas potentes y mas expansivos. Esa es mi conclusion base a este video

@@Techscrews um yeah . Btw what so special about this 500$sub only sound or build quality or both . For 500$ (RM2096) it's enough to buy 4 z625.
@@awie9255 the Logitech subs are ok but not the same category, b&w subs are nice because of decent build and somewhat engineered. I would bet the klipsch had more time spent on the looks then the tuning and sound. The b&w also most likely has much less distortion from the amp. If the b&w sub interests you I would consider looking at some stuff from m&k sound or kresil sound (newer version of m&k)

My velodyne music sub would torch 🔥 them both! It’s very quick! No standing waves! I do have a B&W db4s for movies, the boys over at Bowers make some good 💩 also.

It’s a closed system NOT vented. Very agile BUT it won’t blow the house down.
it's look very cheap, but spec is amazing :)
I love, that there is 85Hz high-pass crossover outputs. that take bass from fron speakers and give better overall performance. Also class AB amplifier is good bonus and frequency response of 20Hz - 120Hz +- 3dB
