Oh my gosh i looked this up cuz im gonna play it for solo and ensemble, and he plays it so beautifully! It makes me feel so good to listen to honestly. His dynamics and tone are stunning. The piano accompanist plays beautifully as well. I'm probably gonna listen to this a ton
same :) i played this earlier this year as a solo, and now my new teacher is making me play it again, and i forgot how to play it, so im back again;( im also playing Paganini no.5..... wish me luck
Maybe you should listen to Chanelle Bednarczyk here on CZcams : Jules Massenet - The Méditation from Thaïs conducted by Andrzej Kucybale . Her rendition is just wonderfull ! Then you will have tears in your eyes ...
@@blazingchris5048 I just listened what you recommended me. You were absolutely right. Chanelle Bednarczyk is pure emotion. Such sensibility in her performance. Regarding what I wrote about Vidor Nagy I was referring especially about the fact that his interpretation was at a viola. The sound o his instrument upgraded my emotions. Have a wonderful summer.
If you guys do please post it, I don’t play but for some reason I find viola fascinating, those deeper G sounds that the violin can’t get, just beautiful ...
@@DanielGonzalez-vm2il actually a low C that the viola has. I just got a new pickup for my viola so it is going to sound great with the new amp that I will get soon.
Well, ... I figure if he's just a bit longer in finger and arm than me, then it's a 16" viola. So naturally, I play a 16" viola. Yeah. Always did go for more challenge in all things instrumental. Of, course .... maybe he goes for more challenge, too?!! Could be a 17.5" viola. Who knows?

I wish I could play as well as he does! Unfortunately I’m a beginner violist, but this is honestly really beautiful.

I fell like he played this a little to fast, but it’s perfection
The pianist was rushing him which is a shame. Lots of people who play piano think of themselves as soloists in everything they do.

Is it the normal piano accompaniment?
Yes it is. It's in D for violin and G for viola, in the same accompaniment.
@@beoh7033 Violin in D. Viola in G. Hmmm... Quite the conundrum leaving the piano accompaniment the same for both versions, eh?
It's a 'transposed' (and slightly modified/arranged) piano accompaniment. Both players are playing the piece in G. Violin original is in D.
