You said in another talk on the subject of coitible conjugation with a spouse to turn out the lights for intimacy. Your advice is absolutely true ; if not dressing with sheets, just couvre feu !

You're a genuine man Rabbi. I say this for myself ; you don't need to hear my complement, though my meed to say it affirms my trust in you. It is no mere platitude or flattery, it's fun to listen to you. You have a Brooklyn approach that's cut and dry and you cut to the chase. I can truly call you Abba, Daddy ! Shalom Rabbi !

I could never truly give myself to my past partner and thinking about it for the most part it was because they wasn't vulnerable , more controlling, it was never personal.

    W. H. Auden wrote the only poem that's fit for highschoolers : "Their Lonely Betters".
Narcissus loved his reflection and couldn't reconcile that Echo was heterogenus to him and was the under lying raison d'etre of his love. He starved to death never recognizing his echo was his wife and not his self.

H''B. I need your help Rabbi. Even with the branch of Ephraim, I cannot possibly succeed without Menashe. In other words, how do I get a ketubah from Brett L. Levi? I know he has feelings for me. Strong ones. But it's been so long, and he's stonewalled me into a prison of his own making. Please pray for me Rabbi. How do I get myself out of this one? Shalom Aleichem. Shalom.

The song "What have you done for me lately ?" Manny divorce cases are filed as irreconcilable based on he doesn't do anything for me and she doesn't give me her body for congigel relations. It's a society of quid pro quo in litigious livres. If someone dies, someone else gets paid. The golden calf has made pagans of most. Robin Williams' last wife is all slim shady about money. She'd like to care about his illness but money has been in the way. Would she give the money to the poor, and walk in a more frugal path ? I know comforts are addictive, I myself in poverty have convenience, a synonomy of comfort yet I know that Daniel warns us of the evils in a pagan society and the "rendre compt" ... destruction.

God created people to have someone besides him...the problem with your point of view Rabbi is that the God did not or does not create equals, not to "feel alone". God created not just humans but the rest of the universe.

there is a Difference between ''relational Love'' and ''Love the most excellent Quality'' ever, ''Tzdqh'' so biblically named, and ''relational Love'' may be that between ''Parents and Children'' and then, between ''Lovers or 'Partners' also 'Spouses' indeed'' that includes an ''erotic Side'' that is needed for ''Generativity'' actually, to conceive and forge ''Children'' indeed, other ''Humans'', in a very ''holy Manner'', that is ''desirable'' (''Conception'' may happen in some ''sterile Way'' so to put it or even through a ''violent Intercourse'' that is, ''undesirable'': Today's ''Inbreeding'' between ''Lesbians'' and a ''Male'', that occurs in ''artificial Environments'', may be ''an Act of, somehow, Love'' and also ''a desired Act'', despite there is ''nothing erotic'' between the ''Father'' and ''the Mother'' of the ''Kid to be'', and there also are ''Conceptions'' where the ''Father'' is a so named ''Donor'', and is and remains ''anonymous'', also for the ''Kid'' that will be forged by this ''Act'' of so to name it ''Love'', sterile in Terms of ''Affection'' and also in Terms of ''Eros'', between the 2 ''Parents to be'', and for the ''Kid'' only the ''Mother'' will be known, despite the ''Kid'' may ''apparently look like the 'unknown' Father''): when ''existential Life'' becomes especially ''hard'' a ''Burden'' so to put it, ''materially'', ''Eros'' between a ''Couple'' may decrease, for a ''Matter'' of ''sparing Energies'' that are needed to ''deal, cope'' with the so named ''Distress''. ''Shlom'' for everyone, simultaneously.

when you say Love is not everything I think you are both confusing love with feelings of romance and sex, if you can not see the difference then you do not understand what Love is and you will not have a loving relationship because your stumbling over obstacles and I disagree that love is not everything for without it you are nothing. My husband and I have been happily married for 40 years and are still learning to truly love each other but it has very little to do with romance or sex, those are just by products of love.
