    Thanks for the content! I'm a real estate agent as well and I commute downtown most days to go to law school. Mt. Pleasant commute still much better than most towns in the Greater Charleston area.

    5/31/24 Your content is excellent. The mic was not distracting and the clarity is great. If anything, the mic enhanced your credibility.

    People need to have a Trader Joe’s strategy. That place can be wild so know the slow times. I like IOP because they have a county park and I have a gold pass. It makes parking much easier.

      And Mount Pleasant is getting a SECOND Trader Joe's. No love for the other areas around Charleston!

    Charleston traffic is AWFUL. There are so few lanes, and the city REFUSES to expand them. I lived there and it was really nice though

      The traffic isn’t THAT bad. And apparently it wasn’t bad enough to make you think it’s not a nice place to live.

    3/17/24 Viewing; loved it. In my opinion, the mic is distracting.

      Thanks for the input. I'll have to keep testing. The audio was definitely good, but it's a little awkward holding the little mic LOL

    The traffic is not bad at all if you compare it to a big city. Yes, there are other cars on the road and occasionally it will take 5 or 10 minutes longer to get from one end of town to the other if there is an accident on the 17, but when people say the traffic is bad this shouldn’t scare people from big cities where the traffic is actually bad (1 hour to go 2 miles, watching the light cycle 5 times before you make it through the light, completely stopped traffic on 6 lane highways, etc.). And, honestly I don’t think it’d be possible for the traffic to ever get really bad because there’s just not that many people and there’s tons of space. Again, this is compared to a larger metropolitan area.

      @TheBillOlson  Před 3 měsíci

      Exactly! Traffic might be bad for the size of the town, but it's no where near how bad most people make it out to be.

    I don’t get how they let MP reach almost 100K residents and not have various alternate / parallel routes to Hwy 17. It’s just such poor planning that it’s difficult to comprehend.
    For 100K residents and all those who travel through MP, there’s only Hwy 17 and single-lane Rifle Range to travel north/south.
    Unbelievable.

    • @TheBillOlson
      @TheBillOlson  Před 3 měsíci

      With being coastal and all the waterways, I don't know if there's another route they could add. Thoughts?

      @@TheBillOlson not sure how familiar you are with MP, but one of the proposed road construction is connecting Hungry Neck Blvd to Billy Swails Blvd. This would run parallel to/between 17 and Rifle Range.
      It would be a massive improvement because you could now take that road all the way from lower MP where the 526 connector is on 17 all the way north to Porcher’s Bluff. Crazy this hasn’t already been done.
      Agree there doesn’t/didn’t seem to be a way to run another parallel road west of 17.
      Another cluster issue is rt 41. There are hundreds (thousands?) of homes off it and the only way to go to points south is to drive down and connect to 17. They never connected it to Long Point, which would have provided massive relief to the 41/17 intersection. However, it appears they are planning to do that, and add a connecting road from Rivertowne neighborhood to Long Point.
      Another lack of planning is foresight is the intersection of 41 and 17, where east of 17 is Dingle Rd and would have been a great outlet to connect that road to Rifle Range and provide further relief, but instead condos were built at the end of Dingle. They are about 20yrs old so that’s why i mentioned lack of foresight at the time.
