There is some amazing video footage here. It would have been nice to have some more precise commentary beyond "they made bad business decisions," "they struggled with e-commerce," and "they didn't adapt to changing consumer preferences."

Strange AI generated story in how it mixes a bunch of things when the cause and effect are far apart. e.g. store reuse came after the business locations closed, not the cause of the store closing.

I actually miss the old days. Malls & stores packed. Come the holidays the malls were so lit up & so many booths were set up with seasonal stuff as well. Hanging out with friends @ arcades & food courts. Internet buying just destroyed it all😢

I can't speak for ALL KMarts, but the ones I visited looked like I stepped 20 years into the past. I don't know exactly why, but that's the feeling I got each time I went.

Radio Shack was nothing more than a rebranding of Casio products at a higher price.

Can you imagine how many local businesses went under from Amazon?

I'm 70 when I was a kid my family was so poor, I thought anybody who bought things at Sears was rich, they were the store where everyone went to buy just about anything.

"CUSTOMERS" caused the demise of Toys R Us in malls. Parents would drop their kids off at this store and go about their regular shopping. I put the word customers in quotes because the parents were rarely convinced by their brats to buy anything, but the store personnel were forced to clean up after them. This cleaning would often include repackaging broken products which were then later bought by someone who then were understandably upset.

Whoever wrote this script is large on the B.S. and short on the facts. At one point the narrator says something about the never ending resilience of the retail community. Oh yeah? Your whole video is about the failure of the retail space. You can't have it both ways.

LOL I guarantee that Disney will be here in 20 years, while Jim Baker's "Heritage USA" will still be a failure of colossal proportions!
