Would be easier to breadboard one if a schematic were shown---trying to figure out connections by watching every solder connection makes it harder!

That would not effect the circuit.

@@estechknowledge You cannot apply a positive voltage to the negative terminal of an electrolytic capacitor. That will cause it to fail.
