- So this is the start of my Randwick series of footage taken way back in January 2015. I know the driver featured here has been waiting ages to see it and well here it finally is. So here we have SL036 collecting the recycling around Randwick on a Monday morning. I probably don't have too much information to say about this video aye but hope you enjoy it. The truck is the usual Iveco Acco 2350 from the tail end of 2007 and coupled with a 25m MacDonald Johnston GenV Recycler body for handling the bins. As usual it sounds great and has a nice growl to her, but sadly is in pretty poor shape along with the entire fleet at that stage. What I find even more amusing is that these trucks are still in service and meanwhile up in Brisbane we have had one contract start and finish and have just gotten a new fleet and these trucks have outlived our newer trucks up here. Anyway not many of these pre emission rated trucks around so I hope you enjoy what a real truck should sound like.
Just shaking my head at myself again at some things in this video, I don't like Mitch from back then :P Recall watching a few of these clips when I initially got the footage off you, sweet to see the action again. 31 and 36 = proper 2007 GenV/ACCO sound. Sideways forward beacon and hanging taillight fitting, just typical shit in that fleet :/ Mmm loved some of the full throttle moments like the first approach in the video, they sound damn good these trucks!
😂 It's not the end of the world really. But these Acco's do sound mint, having gone from these to the ISLe5 Acco's you really miss the exhaust growl, shame the exhaust system makes the new Acco's whine.
Great Video bro! Jeez this truck is bashed up anyways the old Whittlesea Trucks where even in a worser condition, Lol the front beacon light. One nice sounding truck! Saw one of the old Sulo 2s in the video with a divider. Keep it up!
Yeah man, these sure have seen better days, I remember when these and the Whittlesea trucks and also the Penrith trucks were brand new and at the end of their lives they all looked terrible, no care for them at all. I was glad to see the odd divided Sulo 2 still around, almost all gone now, my grandparents house in the Central Coast still had the divided bin last time I was there, some unique history almost all gone.
@macdonaldjohnstonfan can you recycle laminated paper with plastic on it or not?
Nice stuff buddy 👍
Cheers mate, pleased you liked it.
At 1:26 it finally had a fart
