Yeah 100% i picked this one up around the time AATCHB came out and i took to it right away. The sadness and melodies were very easy to vibe w. As a full album experience, TDS felt more rigid and angry but eventually grew on me.

I know! I love The Fragile as an album, but this is the only song that I don't 'get' the emotion behind. Maybe some kind of parallel to his grandmother Clara, maybe, but really I have no clue why it was made, but I still love when it comes on. It feels almost like A Warm Place, just replacing sudden warmth on an otherwise cold album with sudden surrealism on an otherwise fairly grounded album.

thanks, i love way more the inictial build up in the vinyl version so powerful! initially this was think as the final track oft the album, one of the most rare tracks for nin and one of my favorites.

Being a child when this album was released, and with FIFA 97 being my favorite game in the FIFA franchise, I thought this would’ve been perfect for the soundtrack. But then again this album was released three years after that game. The game’s soundtrack itself was created by developers before the franchise started featuring songs from outside artists. If you hear a few of the tracks from that game, you can get that sort of NIN vibe.
I was in a house fire that put me Into a Coma in 2016. Apparently I didn't want to be in that coma because I kept trying to raise up even though I was wrapped in gauze and hooked to machines. My family told them to play Nine Inch Nails and Puscfier. It was mostly this song and grand canyon by puscifer. It would put me at ease so I could rest.... I didn't know I was still the same person until I woke up 2 weeks later and seen "NIN, Puscifer" on the nurses whiteboard. If anyone want to know what it's like to be in a coma it's like you've been on vacation and you're coming back to your house finally but in my case my house was very messy
Totally fair view to hold and one I honestly have struggled with a lot over time, but to me, this song symbolizes the growing anger and discontent he feels heading into “No, You Don’t” as the struggle to stay sober and keep his vices that destroyed his life during TDS at bay. Just how I take it though. Still a perfectly reasonable feeling to have toward the song.
