I rebuilt my 96 toyota t100 4wd (a340f) with this video and a few diagrams, now 8 years later I'm ready to do it again, I believe is going out due to I ordered wrong kit first (a340e) and the 3rd clutch pack didn't fit so I bought that kit from a local/close retailer which it seemed so ghetto then I think that's the one again, thanks for sharing details for particular cars cheers from Texas👍👍👍

Just one question, when you check the clucth packs with air press, the third hole sound different compare to the others hole.. seems like the air are leaking.. is that fine? Can u explain more bout that?
11:35 if there is wear on the race surface, should I change the entire bearing or just the race itself?

Hi. My clutches in my A340e (Volvo 960 1993) are desintegrating after oil change using Dexron III (the car has been sitting for 10 years) and clogging the strainer. Do you recommend to flush using dexron IID? Is something I can do to stop it from doing this or the transmission has to be rebuilt? Thanks, any help would be much appreciated.
I’d say stick a fork in it, you are not going to put more friction material on your clutches by changing fluid
Also, dex III is NOT what made your clutches shed, it’s either just wear or you may have some water/antifreeze in the trans.
@@iptperformancetrans Thanks. The transmission is not slipping for the moment. In case there is water contamination in the fluid, is there a chance to save it if I do a full flush ? (the trans is not connected to the radiator, it has its own cooler)
@@wad4865 Regardless of why, if you’re filter is clogging up with clutch material your transmission is unaliving itself⚙️
When you do air check, how much air pressure you aply?
I use full shop pressure but throttle the air. Technically that’s not the text book way, it should get regulated down to 30-40 psi but I’ve been at this for 35 years and I have a pretty good sense of things. I kind of stick to what’s quick and practical for many things
Hi I need to talk to a pro as soon as possible to place an order for some parts. I have a 02 Tundra with the A340E with the ill-fated bad overdrive planetary. Its toast as is the ring gear. I bought it this way a few months ago. I have the transmission all apart and already bought a master rebuild kit and TransGo HD2 kit. I also need the OD planetary gear, the ring gear, and a few other items like a better Torrington gear or whatever that is lol. I just know its toast too. Can I call you guys?

My Toyota A340F gearbox Trepidation at speed 60kmh to 50kmh only lies when the speed drops and shakes and makes noise when it is leaving it works normally.
Is it not shifting into 4th?

Is This the same as a340h in 91 4runner v6 overdrive?
A 340h is basically a 340 with an integral transfer case that is controlled like it’s own separate transmission
