    As someone with 0 IT background and only trades (millwright/instrumentation/eletrician) I have to take this for DoD job.
    I got a 725 on first rip and got in my head and I changed answers that looking back were right.
    Anyone wondering what to do. Hammer encompass tests with this guys YT videos. That’s literally all your need. Guys at work told me to get Darryl Gibson book and I did. Wasn’t horrible buy for ~$30, but these videos have been by far best thing for me. I take it again tomorrow. I’m hopeful, but my brain isn’t absorbing the information like it used to to and I’m not finding it interesting, but again gotta pass it even though it’s not even relatable for the job I’m taking.

      @@chriscruz1519 I got Comptia’s security plus app about a month or so before I tested. It has several test-like questions for each domain and even creates a scheduled plan with a set number of questions you have to get right each day for you once you set an exam date. These videos and that really helped. It’s $20 for a year, but that’s a small price to pay to pass this exam.

    @b0xxkn1gh79 Před 2 lety +8

    Wow, just here to tell you that I made it through Domain 3 lol. Surprisingly enough I actually like this domain because common network protocols, appliances, and standards are discussed here and since I have passed my Network + recently I am very familiar with them. The PKI section I can definitely understand how it can be tricky to many but I am willing to come back to it a couple times to fully grasp the information needed for the exam. Thank you for these videos I really appreciate what you are doing in helping people study for this certification. The information is clear, concise and presented in a well manner for everyone to understand.

    @InsideCloudAndSecurity Again, I love your course and it's my primary study tool over everything else. I just wanted to mention at 14:19 your definition of Hashing is not the correct definition as it pertains to "Salting and Hashing." Your definition for hashing seems to be from the angle of using a hash table to quickly retrieve info more efficiently/quickly, rather than explaining that there term Hashing in this instance means taking plaintext data elements (such as a passwords) and converting them into consistent ciphertext outputs for data verification, via the use of a hash function. This is something that has to be configured by Cloud Admin/Engineer. I am only mentioning this for continuous improvement and positive feedback if you ever update this course in the future or for future versions of the exam. You are literally my Security Guru!!! Thank you again!

    i thought tokenization can be reversed with a lookup table is that correct?

    • @InsideCloudAndSecurity
      @InsideCloudAndSecurity  Před rokem +1

      Tokenization turns a meaningful piece of data into a string of random characters that cannot be reversed - so if breached, no meaningful value is exposed. The only way to discern the original value is a lookup table. On the other hand, encrypted values, with enough time and computing power, may be reversed. And while we're here, a hash is a one-way function that cannot be reversed.

    I thought tokenization is a reversible process, isn't it?

    • @InsideCloudAndSecurity
      @InsideCloudAndSecurity  Před 2 lety +6

      Tokenization is not a hashing or encryption mechanism. Known values, like a student ID would be replaced with a completely randomized value, and then stored a separate lookup table with mapped values. Not reversible the same way encryption is. You need access to the lookup table. Encryption is reversible (a two-way operation), requirements varying by algorithm. Hashing is a one-way function, that when done properly, is not reversible.
