While true, I grew up in the 70's and 80's and DO remember Beanie Babies being a thing. However time and age may have muddied my memory as to the timeframe. I do recall SOME kind of stuffed animal sensation hit the 70's. I apparently just can't recall enough to identify it.
@@strongblade There were fads in the 70s like "Pet Rocks," but no Beanie Babies. You might be thinking of Cabbage Patch Kids, but that was the 1980s, not the 70s. Another thing you might be thinking about are "Troll Dolls," made by Thomas Dam. They were a fad in the 1960s and 70s.
Beanie Babies are a line of stuffed toys created by American businessman Ty Warner, who founded Ty Inc. in 1986. The toys are stuffed with plastic pellets ("beans") rather than conventional soft stuffing. They come in many different forms, mostly animals. Created in 1993, Beanie Babies emerged as a major fad and collectible during the second half of the 1990s.[2][3] They have been cited as being the world's first Internet sensation in 1995.[4] They were collected not only as toys, but also as a financial investment, owing to the high resale value of particular ones
One thing that people collected in the 1970s was the tab on soda and beer cans. You could hook them together to make a chain. People made belts, bracelets, necklaces and even curtains for their Van.
The first comics store didn't open until 1968, throughout most of the 70's there weren't very many of them, especially in small towns and cities. Most of us picked them up at gas stations, news stands and convenient stores.
Beanie Babies are not from the 70's. They weren't even invented till 1993.
Wtf. No beanies in the 70s
Thank God
Beanie Babies introduced in 1993 not 1970s.

Sosie Bacon is the daughter of Kevin Bacon and not the daughter of Pierce Brosnan.
Stamp collecting was big way before the 70s.
Not that it really matters, but you have the chapter names for model trains and eight track tapes swamped.
Um, Right out of the gate, beanie babies were from the 90s, not the 70s. Maybe troll dolls were from the 70s.
