I am a diecast nut. Mainly law enforcement and Pontiac Trans Am stuff. I would have loved to attend this event. Good stuff, Greg.

So Hot Wheels releases 15 mainline cases a year, each case has a designated car called a "Super Treasure Hunt" that's comes with a metal base and rubber tires. They are limited chase cars. Mattel makes a set every year with all 15 of the STH's in a case that you can purchase. These are what's in those "TH" boxes you saw. You have to be a RLC (Red Line Club) member to purchase them, and they are of limited supply.

FYI Hot Wheels makes Super Treasure Hunts that are pretty rare and more valuable. The are metallic spectraflame paint with real rider (rubber tires )Hot wheels also has regular treasure hunts that are one per case of 72 kind of similar to Funko chases.
No Toons you didn't have? I figure be lots those! Some prices o 2" cars rediculous. Really gotta be a avid collector to pay those prices.
