I’ve owned this necklace for over a year and it’s my favorite VCA piece because it’s so dainty and goes with absolutely everything and is perfect for layering. I HARDLY ever take it off - I shower with this daily and spray perfume on it and it’s still in perfect condition. I like the bigger size when I’m dressed up and going out and want to wear more jewelry, but this is perfect for every day wear.

I do take mine off to shower, but yeah, I wear it to bed most nights. I’m too paranoid to risk a shower with it, though I know some people do.

Hi! Interesting to hear your thoughts on the necklace. I have the exact same one and I love the chain. The yellow gold is gorgeous and the quality of the chain is beautiful. However, I think the MOP tends to look dull on white skin. The only thing that makes it less dull is that it has a reflection depending on how you look at it^^ I actually think it is a great everyday piece if you don't live in a rainy place. It is very dainty.
I also have the carnelian one. I don't like rose gold as much but I think it looks so much better. It stands out as the red pops but still remains discreet^^
Great points! I do agree I prefer the MOP in the summer when I have a tan or against a turtleneck. Carnelian and rose gold is a beautiful combination. Thank you for sharing❤️

I bought mine in June for my birthday, and I was delighted with VCA’s customer service - I got my chain lengthened, which made a huge difference, so if anyone buys it online, just know that you have 12 months to get it lengthened (but make an appointment with VCA). I do have a Vintage size as well, but I really love the Sweet Alhambra because I love stacking gold necklaces. So my stack is a gold St. Benedict medal at the top, then the Sweet Alhambra, then my diamond cross at the bottom. It looks great together and is simple and lovely. I only wear my Vintage piece when I don’t feel like stacking necklaces. I also have the Magic Alhambra, which I rarely wear. I love them all!

I'm pretty interested in this style, the price seems pretty decent compared to other brands/styles. But the tangling and the delicateness of the MOP I'm just not sure ... great review as always 💛

I have a similar one from Dior and SA told me it's ok to wear every day even for showers so been wearing it since the day I purchased about two weeks ago. no issues, just enjoy the $$ and feels good :)

Wife is looking for an everyday necklace. Never owned mother of pearl and concerned due to how delicate it is. How quickly does it dull or damaged? Besides water, can she wear it whenever everyday?
