- We put up our Christmas tree for the 2019 holiday season, and are taking you on a home adventure as they do some Christmas tree decorating, showcasing their favorite Christmas ornaments. This mostly consists of Star Wars ornaments and a few Harry Potter ornaments. We even show you how to make your own pop culture and movie ornaments on the cheap, and Kitra tries her hand at Hallmark's new blind bag Star Wars ornaments.
And we'll show you our droid tree, filled with ornaments celebrating the best robots from cinema and television and droids from star wars. Our dogs' Pixel and Gizmo will show up during the progress to mock our ornament choices.

I always put my tree up on November 1st. I believe that it is never too early to put up your tree. We always had colored lights growing up, so I love the colored ones. Kitra should definitely keep trying to get the porg.
So many things to comment on:
- I agree. Tree up ASAP after Halloween
- Yes for sure. Would be a blast to watch a "Kitra search for the Porg" series.
-And colored lights. The more color the better. (Kind of like Disney)
- There may not be many Drpid trees out there but hey with 35,000 followers maybe you'll start a new trend

So awesome my wife and I just put up our tree. Our son built his new Disneyland Train Station and train we got him at the Downtown Disneyland Lego Store. Really enjoy all of your videos. This is my rule regarding ornaments: Don't hide any ornament. So, place them all where the tree is visible. if the back of the tree is towards a wall then leave it blank. No point in decorating what people wont see. Thank you guys for sharing with us your home and the personal décor. awesome. I love the Kermit.

Colored lights all the way and It is never to early! We start putting out Christmas decorations the day after Halloween.

Never too early. Love the video! I grew up on the fake tree. Ewok on a speeder! I usually put my favorite in front and center. At least you got chewy and Han! Star Wars is my favorite. Btw, on Disney+ Greedo shot first even though there's different versions of the movie with either one shooting first. Awesome Simpsons and Indiana Jones. I love that you have a Droid tree. Love you guys!

I'm right there with you. My wife and I have been collecting pop culture ornaments for 10 years. Hopefully one day my kids will inherit them lol
normally i think movie ornaments next to traditional ornaments is strange-- think the baby jesus next to darth vader-- but your all-movie tree is a great idea! and the ones you chose are beautiful.
I put my tree up Nov 9 and I don’t care who hates that. I LOVE putting it up early!!
If you let it set after you take it out of the box it works a lot better with branches! That way you don’t have as many, as my mom put it, holes in the tree! Oh and my husband now proposed to me in front on Cinderella’s castle. But I think its awesome that your first date was at Disneyland!
We need more videos in your home, not just because it's a nerd dream, but also because I would watch your little Pom (Gizmo? Pixel?) do anything. He/she is so chill for a small floof -- my Yorkies would have flipped out on the talking ornaments!

Also, one of my fave moments in one of your vids was when Peter said gender doesn't have to define the dog costumes. Now knowing cute little Gizmo is the boy, I really get Kitra's response too. I am constantly dealing with being a feminist dog mom who also spends so many NYC walking hours correcting folks that my 3lb cutie is a boy. Love your vids -- thanks for the response.
The social norm for Christmas decorating is usually the day after Thanksgiving, but if you’re excited to jump the gun, then jump the gun. The speeder bikes were very cool.
I’m not sure that’s the social norm. Christmas decorations have been up at my malls for weeks. Disney does the week after Halloween as well.
Ordinary Adventures agreed, stores have been pushing up the date more and more, I guess the better way to say would be “tradition” post WWII. Growing up in my old neighborhood, decorating the house after thanksgiving was always how the weekend got spent. Granted, this year thanksgiving is a week later than normal.
Love your trees. We do a Disney tree and use the mickey balloon popcorn bucket for a topper, a movie tree and a Star Wars tree and I use my light up Star Wars ears for the topper.
We have our trees up...the first year we were married it was up Nov 1st because it snowed that day up in Missouri. 47 Christmas's later, here in Ga. we still put our trees up early...we're like minded in so many ways, your posts are great.

There is So much wonderful thoughts that come to mind when I watch. Your videos the trees are Great and I love the droid tree you have to get the other mini ornaments and porgs. I love that you live by means of Disney time.
I was going to comment about an ornament that I loved but then as I kept watching I kept seeing new ornaments that I loved. The Ewok on a speeder and the ET with the light up heart light were my very faves though.

People should be able to put up (or keep up) Christmas decorations whenever they want, without judgement, or made to feel bad.
Find whatever shreds of joy wherever you can in this life. When you look back at your time, would you ever think "You know, all those cynical aholes were right - I should have put my decorations up later."? Of course not. Merry Christmas ya filthy animals!
Oh, and thanks for showing me the speeder bike ornaments since I'm in the UK and can't get them. I now covet them like Gollum and the ring. They are precious to me...

i put my tree up the day after thanksgiving. My ornaments consist of star wars, star trek, vintage toy themes and harry potter. other ornaments are ones i pick up from different vacations. under the tree i have stuffed animals and lionel train set. your living room is very cool.

Wow, this channel has grown almost exponentially since November - and no - no one else has a droid tree, if they say they do, well...there probably getting coal in their stockings. This past Christmas, I bought my girl the Hallmark Hogwarts Castle tree topper and it's AMAZE BALLS! We also spent last Christmas at Universal, and it too was AB! Love your channel and wish you continued success in the coming year.

My favorite ornament is a Beetlejuice ornament (also from Hallmark)!! He does the whole “do you think I’m qualified” monologue!
However, 90% of my tree is Star Wars. And my Jabba ornament is my second favorite. Along with the Yoda tree topper!

Ive been watching your content since you guys had like 400 subs, I would love to see a house tour, or just a collection tour. Every time I see your house in videos I want to be able to explore and really look at everything you guys have. You have somehow incorporated so many unique items into the space without making it look like a dorm room or kids space. I think that is hard to do, and love the way you have pulled it off.
We want to eventually do one. Right now we have a leak situation and part of our house looks like a construction site. So when that gets fixed we’ll do one.
Very innovative idea to convert Funko! keychains into ornaments. And I'll share a sentiment already said here - your house is amazing, and I'm in awe of your geekdom. My wife and I had the same thing going.

Not a DROID tree, but when we upgraded the living room tree, the old tree when into my study and all my Star Wars ornaments go there. Found a bunch of mine at Kohls.

Congrats on 35k subscribers! Beautiful tree Peter and Kitra! But regarding "plastic trees being more eco-friendly....." That's only if they become passed down like family heirlooms. Otherwise they'll end up taking up space in landfills . Real trees on the other hand are eco-friendly as they can be replanted after use and or turned into mulch which both benefits our planet. And in general, as long as we've got seeds to plant more trees, we'll never run out. Real trees are allot more work to bring into homes, but hey at least they look and smell great!
Theoretically true but I think most people who get real trees do not do that with them.

When I found out that Peter Mayhew, the best actor who played Chewbacca I was really sad. Hit me hard because he was an incredible man and someone who he played Chewbacca so well. I’ll miss him but no matter what even though he’s gone he’ll forever be in my heart and we know he’s in a better place.🥺
