  • In this video, we roll over Collins' BMW E30 and proceed to fabricate a new inner wing using only sheet metal. We successfully create the entire inner structure using basic tools and time.
This tutorial is dedicated to restoring a classic BMW. As with all classic car restorations, we continually discover more rust, making this nearly a comprehensive guide on how to restore classic cars.

An old family friend, long passed, was an expert sheet metal worker restoring antique cars. To see him fashion new body panels from a flat sheet using hammers and various rollers was amazing, even though I was only about 10 or 12 at the time. He also used to restore suits of armour for several of the castle collections in England. Such a shame this is a dying art.
