- What have I learned over my nearly thirty years as a beauty editor? The best beauty hacks; the quick fixes, sneaky tricks and best products to use in a hurry. And the same can be said of one of my all time beauty best friends Jo Jones. Jo runs the beauty division of a huge beauty pr agency, started and writes Beauty Wire a free app that you can download to stay in touch with what's going on with her beauty clients AND just founded The Beauty Banks, a brilliant charity that aims to end hygiene poverty by supplying toiletries and sanitary wear to people in need in the same way that food banks supply food. She is an all round ace human being, and funny.

Honestly it works.
* Turmeric Face Mask
Mix a tablespoon on turmeric in enough full fat milk to make a paste. Slather it on clean skin and leave for fifteen minutes. Rinse well.
Jo says it works ... so I'll leave it at that.
* Aspirin on spots and dandruff. Again crumble a plain aspirin in water to make a paste and leave on spots overnight. Or crumble two into water and spray onto your scalp for dandruff and leave overnight.

Jo's turmeric (and yes, Nadine pronounced it correctly 😏) does work. My husband is Indian. When I first married 10 years ago, his sister's and mum taught me about the turmeric mask. Indian women use it quite often. Probably once a week or fortnight. It's very often used on a bride the night before her wedding. Here's the ingredients they use.
You'll need : Milk, turmeric powder, Almonds oil, Chick pea flower/known in the uk as gram flour.
Put 2 heaped tea spoons of the flour into a bowl, then add 1 level tea spoon of turmeric powder, then 1 tea spoon of almond oil. Mix together and then slowly add the milk until it's a smooth paste, like smooth peanut butter. Not too runny and not too thick. Apply an even layer to clean face. Leave it on until hard, approx 20 mins. Once completely dry, get it with warm water and rub it in to exfoliate, then wash off. It's been used in asia for hundreds of years. Its said to help pigmentation, acne and even as a spot treatment. Any left over mask can be stored in the fridge for 3 days. Curcumin is the active ingredient and is apparently an anti oxidant. I have no idea if any of the claims are actually true but I LOVE this mask. I only do it every few weeks or once a month. I have the latest skin ever and it doesn't leave any tint on me. My skin feels super soft afterwards and it doesn't bother my dry skin at all. Even if its all bs, it's still really fun to do. Loved this video, and Jo is a hoot and a half. I love when you have guests on the channel, you always have so much fun xo

My mom swears by clear lipliner. She has alot of lines (will be 70 this year) and she uses the Milani anti-feather liner and/or UD Ozone liner. Colourpop lip primer is similar also.
Love you girls !!. Great hacks xx. Tip for avoiding hangover . Water in between drinks and a really premium spirit Ciroc vodka and orange juice is the best . You can have a good few !. It’s when a spirit is distilled means nasties removed. Take water to bed and take some milk thistle . But I swear ballygowan water is amazing I get tons on ocado delivered . I’m not kidding it’s so pure ! Of course I’m irish so I’m biased but I’ve seen a huge diff in my skin xxx

Hi Nadine! Thank you so much for another wonderful video. Just to let you know, I found the primark cloths you recommended and of course I had to buy it. However, they are called: PS 3 PK cleansing mitts, (reusab!e mitts) Removes makeup with just water. This particular pack comes with 2 white and a pink cloth not mitts as stated in the package. I found them in the wood green store in North London. Can't wait to give them a try. Thanks.

Hi guys I have been using the same wax pencil to stop my lipstick bleeding fabulous I can’t say how brilliant this little pencil is !oh my blue eye dew used it for years but you must throw it away after six weeks because it goes off ! I really admire you both , you both are successful and love you x

Great tips! I actually use turmeric in emergency cases. It is very good anti-inflammatory. I mix a teaspoon of turmeric with warm water and drink it. It's sooo not tasty but effective! The last time i had to use it was for my swollen wrist. Somehow i never used it as a face mask. Will definitely do that! 😘😘

If you have very frizzy hair, like me, a little bit of castor oil (as in lightly dip half a small finger into the bottle, you can always add more) mixed with a carrier medium like either real or the super-cheap blend of argan oil, will certainly knock it back! But go lightly at first.
Wrapping your hair in a satin or silk scarf at night helps too. I only started doing this seriously last week because I came across a fantastic tutorial that will allow it to stay on all night, with no pins or clips! Search sunsetnwaves scarf, it should be the first one... absolute game changer! (It needs to be a medium-sized scarf c50cm x 50cm)

The 2 of you together... simply hilarious to watch!! Pls invite her back for more videos. The microfiber cloths are sold in the dollar stores in Canada. They have packs of 4 the size of washcloths which are great for makeup. If you can find the larger towels they're great for blot drying hair, great for curly/frizzy hair to eliminate frizz. FYI... Use a mild cleanser or detergent to wash them, DO NOT use fabric softener or castille soap, it changes the fibers and its effectiveness. I've also used them for a quick cheat steam. Instead of sitting with your face over a steaming bowl for mins, I've wet the microfiber cloth in hot water and put it on my face for a min or 2 oatting it gently in places with my fingers. Can also do it laying down.

It really brights your skin.
I use turmeric honey and aple cider vinagre.
Sometimes just turmeric Greek yogurt and honey.

Hi Nadine, I bought today a pack of 3 cleanser cloths from primary. They are 2 white and 1 pink very soft cloths, they were in a clear pack marked as 3 pk cleansing MITTS £2.50 , so they are described wrongly. I think they are the ones you are looking for! They really worked getting all my make up off with just water as you said! 💕
The hangover part was the funniest 😂
