Yeah the 2nd half is crazy. Knowing now that it was supposed to be act 1 i can see how it slowly prepares us for the renaissance while still having its own identity. Dancy and uptempo, especially Tyrant and Sweet/Honey/Buckin.

YAYA literally had me shook when I first heard it.
This album is a masterpiece. Like i cannot explain how this album has me in a chokehold. You can feel the care and thought that went into the whole album. From the concept to tge sound and then imagery (for now we're having our own visuals, she's so sick for that lol). Idk if any album will top it this year for me, maybe Billie's? Ya-ya, Daughter and Bodyguard are def my favourites.

Made out of defiance and utter ambition to never undermine a Black woman with resources + money to make the music industry a better place for its participants in spite of the country genre systemically freezing out the bulk of Black and POC artists.
Fundamentally, Beyonce’ is using her power and cachet to reclaim the original position of slave American music that soothed the tearing apart of Black mothers and their children sold on plantations. Even today it affects those marginalized minorities who primarily occupy spaces of fast food to domestic/medical home health services.
