      Hey , when matcharesident shows time since graduation cutoff as 3 yog does it mean that there is no possibility of filtering out someone less than 3 yog or is there a possibility of programs sorting through applications by filtering out say more than 2 yog ??

      Green card holders are not citizens so they would be non-US IMGs as well (just like all of us who need a visa)

    Thank you so much your videos are in time and so informative. If you can explain what is the benefit and when we can do the AAMC account and what's the NRMP number these a lot of accounts make me confused sometimes. Another question is how to register to step 3 and lastly if you took any interview skill sessions and what's your preparation and experience. A million thanks again. Keep the good spirit.

      @IshwariChandran  Pƙed 2 lety +1

      You're welcome, Rasha!
      1. You will get an AAMC account when you buy an ERAS Token. You will have to register w the NRMP to create a rank order list. I've explained the entire process in detail in this video: czcams.com/video/ZPDt8hFU4wI/video.html
      2. You've to register on FSMB for step 3.
      3. I did not take any interview skills sessions. I prepared for it myself by finding out the most commonly asked interview Qs. I'll share tips & my experience in a video this week :)

    1. Does the first aid change each year and basically the content to be tested
    2. U mentioned volunteer experience, when did u do that? During med school or after (cos I'm also thinking about LORs, how will u get them)
    I'll highly appreciate your response 🙏

      1. Yes, it does. It’s advisable to use the latest version
      2. Majorly during med school
      Try to apply to programs/hospitals for electives by emailing them!

      You’re welcome :) letters of interest may help but I believe now may be quite early as program coordinators would still be busy w the onboarding process of their new residency classes. So I guess doing it a few weeks later may be better?

    If someone take exam in month of August, last week, is it possible to get results before programs start looking at applications? I heard results come late in those months.

    • @IshwariChandran
      @IshwariChandran  Pƙed 2 lety

      It usually takes about 2 weeks to get results and another 2 weeks to be ECFMG certified after getting the results (assuming, pathway and step 1 are done by then)
      You're right. There may be a delay in score reporting some times though. This is how it was last year: www.ecfmg.org/news/2021/03/25/step-2-ck-delay-in-score-reporting-3/#:~:text=Most%20Step%202%20Clinical%20Knowledge,week%20of%20June%2027%2C%202021.
      I'd suggest checking w the ECFMG about it so that you can plan your test date accordingly

    • @IshwariChandran
      @IshwariChandran  Pƙed 2 lety +1

      In that case, you would come under the category of NON-US IMG. However, since you won’t be needing a visa, you can filter programs & apply accordingly (you can also apply to programs that don’t sponsor visas unlike nonUS IMGs who do not have a green card) :)
