Guys I don’t know about the future of college football! What do y’all think 😬
We're still in good hands❤
The 2005-2009 intro is the best.
2015 - "Alright, let's turn the cool intros we've always had into shit."
For real
They had a cool downtown landscape/fireworks intro for Saturday Night Football. But not for every game like the good-old-days.
The 2000-2003 ESPN College Football theme was ESPN's finest imo. Noontime in the Big Ten
RIP Ron Franklin
The orchestral theme when panning over the stadium needs to come back forever
The ESPN college football theme from 2010-2013 is the greatest sports theme of all time imo
Can't believe you took time into your life to make this great video for people to enjoy
Thank you so much!
Never forget that Kansas was indescribably elite in 2007
The Mangenius
This is sick. Ron Franklin was my 2nd favorite all-time college football announcer behind Keith Jackson
Ron Franklin is Legendary.
@@TheJasonJackson84 “Has 5. Has 10.”
ESPN definitely on it's prime right as the BCS was ending. Stunning graphics, hit heir stride in HD, good music (BCS theme is so good), good callers. Even love the "ESPN college football... Is brought to you by" voiceover guy.
I hate the new playoff music that they're using for everything now. It's overly tough sounding and doesn't have the passion that the old music had in its composition.
In the new newer stuff though really glad to see Greg McElroy on the air - he was in my graduating class at bama!
I agree, the 2005-2010 was my favorite music and presentation
I could listen to 9:38 forever my favorite sound hearing as kid.
late 2000’s college football was peak entertainment
Thanks for putting all this together! A couple of key years stick out to me:
- 2004, which had the intro that lasted into the ESPN/ABC integration and would last through the end of the '00s decade. Even Saturday Night Football used the graphic sequence, albeit with different music.
- 2010. I really enjoyed that up-tempo beat that lasted from that year through 2012 (other than College Football Primetime in 2012, which used the Saturday Night Football theme).
- And from 2015 to 2019, games that used the "full" intro graphic sequence would show helmets from the previous season's 4 CFP teams.
2005 - 2009 intro music was the absolute best. So many memories. Bring it back ESPN
2010-2014 was prime ESPN intros
Absolutely
Isn’t that also the ncaa 13 Intro
@@rnichigan-tt Yes.
Uh no. 2000-2009 are the best ones.
@@coreyorr3819 not a damn chance
Thank you so much for putting this together and the ABC one. I could listen to these on repeat forever.
Thank you so much for creating this! This is giving me goosebumps! The old CFB intros were awesome! Can’t wait for CFB to be back!
2:08 The legendary 7OT Arkansas-Ole Miss game
I miss that announcer from 2003. He was good. One of the voices of college football for me growing up as a kid.
Ron Franklin. He got let go from ESPN around 2010. Unfortunately he passed away earlier this year.
He was awesome. RIP
@@canesinsider I heard they're bringing back college football.
The 2010-2014 theme songs tug at my nostalgia a lot. Miss that era of college football!
Idky but I love everything aboue espn college football 2009 the intro and the scoreboard
9:48…. Gives me goosebumps, brings back so much memories from my childhood hood. Good times.
Whoever made the change in 2015 should be fired.
Facts
Agreed, their current theme isn't bad, but it should've only been used for the College Football Playoff, and kept the 2010-14 theme for the regular season
God bless you for putting this together this video is simply incredible!
Thank you!
Wow this is so Kool, 2000-2003 my jay v and varsity years. I would rush to the t.v. on Thursday nights to see most likely a pac 10 team or wac team, good times and thanks for the upload we appreciate it.
I miss college football
Thank u so much for the nostalgia
I could listen to 15:49 on repeat
Same
I love the theme but getting sick to my stomach from the game being shown
Someone really loves his Fords
I was today years old when I realized the sky in the background of my beloved '07 intro changed based on the time of the game. 0_0
The little details that ESPN college football used to do
ohhhh yes i remeber this well very much when i moved out, my parents thevcr was set on for me to watch any random college football even though the tv was off and it going on even i went to work or just be home cause i always wanted to see ESPN football cause i didn't have cable just network tv and collect the tape early in the week yes those were great days, from 2000-2005 as far as i went,,
Woah, he has trouble with the snap!
2000-2003 for the win.
That 2000 entrance music still badass
That voice coming bac from the commercial with that music just so good
2010-2014 presentations are just heart warming..
18:49 “oh he has trouble with the snap” game
07:44 damn I miss the BCS theme
Love this
the BCS theme is unmatched
2005-2009 ❤️
00:30 look at Alabama record before Nick Sabin. Oh how has the mighty forgotten 😂😂😂
I remember my first ever collage football game I watched when I was 6 was Boise st at vt and that intro is my favorite
That was a good one to watch, if only because of how eerily similar it was to the Boise/Oklahoma game
ANY INTRO WITH RON FRANKLIN WAS GOLDEN
I miss it, this shit was my childhood the nostalgia everything about it was amazing, the hype was like no other
I really hope one day someone posts the 2002 theme that has that guitar riff in the background
Bring back that 2010-2014 theme and graphics.
Every single game, I always look at the small details instead of the main game.
So can someone explain the "shake and Bake " sign in 2001 when Ricky Bobby didn't come out until 2006? That's some time machine shit.
10:32 the best hands down
0:49 - Alabama 3-7. Haven't seen that in a while.
1 coach makes a difference same will happen to usc starting this season
I love how ESPN has kept the current garbage theme for as long as they have (8 seasons) but all the themes before it (which ranged from ok to outstanding) were ditched after a few seasons
Considering I was not even alive for the first couple here, I'm glad I can definitely say that I'm not biased by nostalgia in thinking the newest ESPN graphics and presentation look like corporate, focus group crap compared to the soul that the old stuff had.
Gets to the 2015 Michigan Michigan St Game, and Sean’s cracked voice leaps into my ear:
‘ OH AND HE HE TROUBLE ON THE SNAP AND THE BALL IS FREE; ITS PICKED UP BY MICHIGAN STATE AND THEY SCOOOORRREEE ON THE LAST PLAY OF THE GAME!!!!’
One of the craziest CFB days of my life. Screw the EPL. Saturdays, are GameDay.
18:45 I felt for Chris Fowler and Kirk that day they literally had to call Ohio State vs Rutgers that day no fun and not to mention this should’ve been an ABC game.
@JetsMetsNets 14:40 shows the BCS on ESPN theme but with a different sound tone
Or I showed the theme of that year
Did you ever get butterflies in your stomach when your team was playing and the broadcast came on?
This theme started out ok but it stinks now cuz they changed it too much and the music is too low in the mix. The Sec on CBS is so good because it never changes and the announcer has to yell over it it’s so loud. If you’re in another room you hear that theme and it’s an alarm to get your azz on that couch
2007 was peak
Who else is here waiting for the 2022 season ??
2010-2014 maybe my favorite.
Man I miss Ron Franklin
Man....what I wouldn't give to see a 3-7 Alabama again
Are we not gonna talk about the headline that going on the bottom of the screen in 2000
Yeah… they got off pretty easy
The ticker was from 2011
Cal was number 9 in 2006? Wow
they were number 2 at one point in 2007, then they fell off and ended the season 6-6
Yeah but everyone was #2 at some point in 2007 😂
@@fleetadmiraljVanderbilt? 😂
10:28 2010 changed the format.
This hurts my heart lol today's landscape of college football is . . . . . . . " Sigh "
tape was rolling i even had surprise games too,WOW loved it,😃
17:11 guy lost his hat!
2011 was the best by far.
10:27
Go lsu
Dude where’s Brent Musburger at you literally missed the whole point of making this he was the whole point of the BCS era.
He has a Saturday Night Football video, u know the games that featured Brent..
m.czcams.com/video/hId-6qh9jVc/video.html
He’s on my Saturday Night Football video. So maybe I didn’t miss the whole point of the BCS. 😂😂
@@jetsmetsnets6942 lol
I wish they'd stop using actual music and go back to the instrumental
Kansas was number 3 at one point?
Yes 2007 was one hell of a time
@@jetsmetsnets6942 they almost were #1
@@youreverydayhellknight4257 yup if they didn’t lose to mizzou
@@jetsmetsnets6942 Because a safety basically loss of the game
2007 was a great year, what were there four #2 teams that loss to unranked teams?
I don’t know why but that glockenspiel really gets me jazzed about the old intros 🥲
Are we gonna just ignore the bottom line scroll about Jerry Sandusky in the first intro?
Week 1 of the college football season better known as "creampuff" week for the Top 25 teams. Why bother analyzing these matchups as they are made to do nothing more than pad the record and stats......its a joke. #15 Oregon against Portland State, Oregon wins 81-7. #20 Oklahoma against Arkansas State, OK wins 73-0. # 22 Ole Miss against Mercer, Ole Miss wins 73-7. Tough matchups all, way to go NCAA competition committee you really put your best foot forward with these stellar matchups! What a joy they must have been to participate in and watch, especially for the fans of Portland State, Arkansas State and Mercer. College football sucks! Its nothing more than revenue for the pseudo-corporate farm system of the NFL (Nefarious Felon's League)(see Ray Lewis, Aaron Hernandez, Rae Carruth, Darryl Henley, Tommy Kane, Eric Naposki, etc., etc., etc.). Professional and amateur sports have devolved into nothing more than a social gambling addiction that will bring more misery and suffering to our society thanks to all the unethical and immoral politicians, university athletic directors, professional team owners and......basically everyone associated with this ridiculous s**t show including the corporate propaganda outlets that help feed the addiction. You are all shi**y human beings and, hopefully, karma will find you all.
