Wow, they dig so carefully, like grave robbers.
shameful ignorance and presumed entitlement to be the one person, after many years, to hack with a pickax.
.
Carefully.???
If he had been careful, he wouldn't have broken open that jar.!!!
Because otherwise he would have dug the jar out carefully, and with something smaller than a pickaxe.
.
Good to see I am not the only one cringing over this.
If these things were truly in situ, and treated so rough shod in a treasure hunt, I am saddened by the loss of archeological context, and value. That such item could tell a story and be shared with the public in a museum is lost with such removal.

I was just thinking the same. I wonder to if what this guy is doing is legal. Most jurisdictions don't allow people to go at their ancient sites willy nilly with a pickax.
@@warrenmccann9156 Yes! Just go on and broke everything... Instead of open the entrance wider, he's hammering to the box as no deal... I literally feel bad for the way he's doing his work.
Someone have to explain him about the fact than containers are a treasure itself, and the only chance to know about how did it was buried, which was the historical context, and who possibly possessed thes thing is when you firstly uncover it. All goes to the hell when predator feels the prey... Sure thing, adrenaline pumps ur blood and you rush for it, but the next time think about why archaeologists do use brushes and little spatulas for caving? For not to scratch, or damage artefacts. I can ensure you, if you go and do something like that around Spain, you go to jail with no excuses, just to prove, look about someone called Adrian who found a bunch of celtic axes, and washed one or two ow it with soap at home, my man, he felt all the toughness of the Spanish law...
I was quiet ,stunned .he did not have the right tools for archeological, digging,or a government permit or licence.👍
how long do you leave the stuff buried before digging it back up?
😜
That is funny!
@johngiovanni2440, about 2073 years ago.....may also have been a year earlier or later. 😊
I had that same thought…click bait
I don't think I have seen such destruction from a metal detectorist????
If you are also a detectorist, you would have seen the cuts in the film, insertion of pinpointer audio and the very disturbed soil, these are all plants.
Archeologists watching this video must be screaming their heads off!
indeed
you mean laughing their heads off!@@YAGER3321
I'd say they're laughing their heads off.
@@DIEmicrosoft yep, because nothing is real in this film, everything is staged and pre-buried.
I've been metal detecting quit a bit and have never seen anybody find so much stuff so quickly and not utter a word.
my favourites are the plasma cut bit of tin sheet axe on a chair leg and the Lada hub cap and rope shield.
@@piccalillipit9211 Plasma cutting would have produced a better quality cut, I think this hack used a gas torch.
@@spidersinspace1099 Actually you are right.
Very modern looking lock on the trunk I have one just like it and the handle on the axe looks to have come off a bar stool I can't see anyone being allowed to hack into the walls of an ancient castle it looks more like an old farm building.
Those markings on the body armour look like mig welding and spatter. Its amazing.
my favourites are the plasma cut bit of tin sheet axe on a chair leg and the Lada hub cap and rope shield.
Hahaha, only a metal fabricator would know what you're talking about. I was thinking the same thing.
Ancient aliens!!
When I am digging up a target I use a heavy hatchet and hammer it down right where the target is. That way you stand a better chance of hitting and damaging the target like the guy on this video. Also, when the dirt around the target is damp and then the target itself is completely dry there is a slight credibility problem. Oh yeah, when you dig up anything gold out of the dirt it has a brilliant vivid gold tone to it. Not a dull brass tone that you see on the item you re-buried. I have dug gold coins and they come up looking brilliant no matter how long they are buried. as a 35 year metal detectorist I see so many problems with this video!
You're absolutly right . I've also been on the field for 30 years, but it's not as easy as it is shown here. Especially since it looks as if the ruins are an archaeological monument that was probably uncovered by archaeologists. However, these archaeologists must have been very poor because they do not seem to have had a metal detector to carry out the archaeological dig correctly. To me this all looks like it was planned buried for click bait on the channel. Who should think that's real at 31:02? I've been collecting axes from different eras for years. I've seen axes made by beginners in a school, but none looked as crappy and clumsy as these. The ax handle looks like an old chair leg, and I'm not even talking about the other junk that was in the rather modern box.
And again, the detector community has one more part to add to their already bad reputation.
31:02 is the exact place I really started to smell the archeologic rat and wonder about who first discovered these ruins.
The video is complete bullshit.
the axe looked like a piece of tin connected to my grandfathers bed-post@@wagonmaster2158
I'm not a detectorist and even I could see the flaws in this fantasy film. he he he, it should be called the comedy of errors.
Dude had the foresight to dig the perfect sized hole to pull a chest he didn't know was in there out of
Yea--And the AX had slag and heat marks from a plasma cutter
🙏
Yeah he planted it there,
Jajaja
@@esmeth1941 ,???,English please
*OH MY GOD THIS IS SO FUNNY* my favourites are the plasma cut bit of tin sheet axe on a chair leg and the Lada hub cap and rope shield.
I had a hope that the find at 15 minutes was a land mine left over from the war. It would have done less damage to the rare finds than the digger was doing.
Well your description above did state that your video was meant to be educational. And it is, all for the wrong reasons. From a formal archaeological perspective, you have documented how NOT to conduct a site excavation. I question the authenticity of the "artifacts" you uncovered. The big wooden chest seemed too good to be true! Those so-called coins looked a little like they had been roughly cut from a sheet of thin metal...and I wouldn't put money on them being silver, platinum, titanium or anything remotely valuable. I am also curious as to the site location.
that's where my car hub cap went LOL
this is definitely a set-up; these "artifacts" were placed by them earlier and then later "found"
Why dig a hole that big for a couple of metal detector hits unless you already know you’re going to be pulling out a big box?
This is Robbery and destruction of antiquities. 😢
That axe head looks too flimsy to be more than a wall decoration.
I was worried he might turn the case over and show everyone the IKEA label!
A 1895 trunk with a few crappy souvenirs, an axe made from a chair leg and hammered tin blade, a poorly made "shield" made from modern rope wrapped around an old hubcap.
Dude get a shovel, u r more likely to damage everything you dig by using a pick axe. That's crazy
Digging and excavating like that is a crime.
This is Criminal vandalism ! You should be arrested.
Looks just like vandalism and looting to me.
*To everyone liking this video and making good comments* : If this is real this is a huge mistake. All these items or treasures (whatever you want to call them), are sources of information that can be deducted from their own existence in a certain place. All of these extractions should be turelly documented and analyzed by experts and credited professionals. Their conclusions are to become what we call history. Expertise and professionalism are what took the human kind so far and (if this is real) this is a setback. We all understand the natural human sense for discovery and exploration but would you motivate your children to drive without a drivers license? Same applies here.
Read the video description. It says video is to demonstrate some methods of detecting treasures using metal detectors.
@@ikecalle yeah but people are loving it despite being staged or genuine
@@ricardolourenco3722 I agree. Watching people find stuff is oddly satisfying.
I am kinda impressed, you possibly loot one site, then stage a video saying "look what I found "in different location..
hard to imagine no other treasure seekers found this loot as it was not burred in an out of the way spot
Total desecration of antique sites should be classed as criminal anywhere around the globe
Surprised they didnt use small explosives to remove the dirt from the artifacts.
Ancient treasure.... buried in a 1920s steamer trunk.
A true pirate that will never be hired by any archaeological teams that dig with precision like drs.
i wonder how much does it cost for the production to plant this treasure hunting expiriance and how much they charge for
Are you stupid or just born like that .and how do you not know this was months or years finds in one video
Very interesting video. However, the country is not named, nor is the culture, nor is the time period. You also broke a valuable pitcher which can be glued back but….. it seemed like a haphazard dig at times and like others on here- how did you know where to dig the chest and how deep and how wide?
because he put it there.. and don't worry about the pitcher.. it's not that valuable as he put that there as well
I was very disappointed at the way the site was dug up not very professional.
the guy is an idiot.
Ancient pottery? Meh. /s
What a shame to see artefacts treated so badly. Smashing the ground about is a disgrace. I can’t watch to the end and I hope this is not real.
this guy should be in prison for the amount of damage he is doing to the history and archaeology of these sites.
Those should be in a museum!
Im amazed you remember where you hid all this shit !! Wow what a memory !!

Knowing when to use the pick and when to use the shovel is impotant when digging up reburied stuff. you knew to use the bigger shovel because you knew you buried it deeper. You are using the metal detector horribly wrong even though you are getting beeps. Unbelievable treasure finding-again..
Last item that is case the reverts, both side locks, key holes are machine made not hand made, no rust on case, soil is not hard like hundreds years ago dumped, it means hided by vlog maker.
Pot hunters, looters should be in jail for looting this site
Truly amazing !😮

Box o' homemade junk meant to mimic old relics. Just because you plaster things with rusty colored paint doesn't make them old. Why do you waste your time burying junk like this. It's all non-descript, random, makes no sense why someone might legitimately bury this long ago, which NO ONE did.
Those might have been the king stuffs , which were considered the most special!
Yes , it’s truly is amazing
Yes 👍
The ground there is so soft & sandy.

I like your vedio thank you so much
i didn't know that they had a wire welder for tools back then? Look where the axe was welded on the seam, you can also see a spot weld on the end piece along with weld splatter all over it.
Looks like they shot a movie there and buried some props as a joke.
im sure digging in ancient sites is strictly controlled and prohibited unless you have authorisation.
Ilike the way you can see the mud is still wett from when you built this ......
Terveiset Suomesta 😊🇫🇮
The lesson is that every archaeologist should use a metal detector , great job 🙂(just the pottery)
I don't know what people that lived there and running for their lives has to do with anything, but most archeological sites have been abandoned, otherwise, they would not be archeological sites. People also tried to destroy the pyramids and the Spinx before it was thought of as an "archeological" site. You are chopping holes in a wall that doesn't belong to you.

That place must be full of stuff, on a pyramid. The big question is why would anyone bury a box of weapons?
According to preliminary investigations, these are weapons and equipment that Fares hid for some reason
That is the cheapest weapons discovery I have ever seen, the shield looks like it was made from a garbage can lid, the halberd from a tin can and that armor wouldn't stop anything. What a joke.
they wouldn't.. everything they "found" was planted by them
Wow 😮❤❤
"WOW, Brilliant"😮
Guy doesn't use his brains to get things out! He thinks brute force is the best way. Not concerning himself with the value of it intact because of it's historical value as well.
You are doing pretty good hope you have papers that gave you permission dig? Nice finds😊😊
that last body armor have nice welded writing on, didn't know that was a thing back in those days...
Belle trouvaille. Sûrement ils ont bien fait la guerre.
I agree to some part with former speaker. WHERE is this? South America?
Definitely grave robbing. But hey thanks for at least showing us before you sold it to the black market. Never got to see real treasure found so easily. You must know of who it belongs to and where to find it at specific sites.
The way he digs could harm precious finds.
ignoranza allo stato puro!
Man completely ruining the archaeological context of the site. Smashing up the walls of an archaeological building, then bragging about it. Will be glad when he has an international warrant out on him.
I cant believe this man is destroying ancient civilization artifacts like this fort with no govt punishment
he is an idiot
Has your government really been good to you?
@@koro287 oh yes and God has too
What i see is a man on a mission taking his time and removing relics intact metal detectors like us love true history and the blessing of being in the wide open or the narrows ,we seek and we find Well done Fellow Digger .

ESO DEBERIA ESTAR EN UN MUSEO, NO EN SUS MANOS, SON ZONAS ARQUELOGICAS, A LA CARCEL DEBERIAN IR
No true archeological excavation would be so aggressive and irresponsible
It belongs to the country he looted it from, so yes he is a looter.
Didnt know they had welders to leave obvious welds on that "battle axe" cmon man this is BS
I'm sure that all the searches and all these treasures are not real and just sick accessories from the antiques shop and have been carefully buried to be detected by the same person who buried. Who shares this opinion with me? Puts 👍🏼
Any idea where this site would be located?
This amazed me
I like your videos. Don’t listen to the haters, they are just jealous and have nothing better to do with their time.
Hello my brother. Glad to have you with us
IT IS POSSIBLE to remove the intact ceramic. Why did you break it?
I dont know where are you, but its my Box.
Amazing !
Where are you detecting that you can destroy an archeological site so easily.
It was a abandoned Fort, not a archaeological site! and the people who were there might have had to run for their life!
You have a strange definition of what constitutes a(sic) archeological site.
Oh Wow! That’s my ring! 😮
The people did not have a chance to remove their things before abandoning the fort. It would have been easy to carry rings but maybe they did not want to be seen with them?
or they had to run for their lives!
This guy gives grave robbers a good name. Not a ring pull in sight. What a joke. Should be wearing a bandits mask.
I about died when he took a chisel out!
And what's your day job?
A butcher?
