I felt like he, portrayed the film amazingly, to the Thai spirit, to the British lead driving team, to the Thai community coming together for the purpose of life, I love that he added the water/pump engineers, the hero's is everyone coming together to make this story possible...it's humanity at its best, superheroes are not one person this was super humans
    The ultimate price is life

    Ok but
Two other guys where actually the ones who laid the red line that actually leaded to the guys
It was really dangerous they almost died and then their line ran out and they had to dive back
These two British guys never laid any of the lines they just heard that the other two almost found the kinds, jumped into the water and dove there just so they can be the ones who get the credit because they have found the kids even if they did nothing of the preparation before
A day later the guys who laid the line wanted to help with the rescue plan and actually where ignored and banned by the British team
Everyone else said there where two teams
The Thai navy + divers from other nations
And the British ones who wanted to get the whole credit

    • @charlotteallenny
      @charlotteallenny Před 2 lety +6

Where did you hear this? I'm curious because I've watched hours of interviews and documentaries and every single one, regardless of who was doing the interview - even the most obscure people who never appeared in news articles - said that Rick and John laid the line. The Thai Navy SEALS laid someline, got to a particular chamber, but weren't able to go further until Rick and John laid the line. (And there's nothing bad implied about anyone in that fact - even the British divers couldn't get though on certain days when the current was strong. But once it steadied a bit, they were the ones to lay the line by literally all accounts.) And I'm skeptical of this idea that the British divers "heard they almost found the kids" and decided to take over in order to get credit. ....There was literally noway of knowing when or where or at what point they would have been close to finding the kids. They were in a cave flooded with water and without any communication, they had no clue where the kids were - that was kind of the whole issue 🤔 🙄 😅 - so it would have been impossible to know the kids were about to be found. Until they were found there was no ay of knowing where they were or whether they were even alive.

@@charlotteallenny they actually had an idea where the kinds where
They where at Pattaya beach and before they found them they thought the only place where they could find them alive would be Pattaya beach so the goal was to dive there
The other two divers dove there but a few meters before finish the line ran out
So the British only laid the last bit
They heard that the other one almost did it, jumped Into water and got the credit
I think you can find the interwiev if you search : Thai cave the untold story
      Or something like that

@@charlotteallenny 2 unkrainian and 1 belgian Diver laid the line through the T-Junction( the point where the british already gave up 'no way, it's suicide')
After they heared that somebody made it through the t-Junction and laid a line they came back, blocked the other divers from more dives, laid the last few meters to the chamber where the boys were and became the heroes. Of the line wouldn‘t have run out the ukrainians and the belgian dude would be heroes today, they went further when the british divers said it's impossible.

@@tol4095 I've watched that one too, I loved all of the documentaries I've seen on it. I know other divers were involved and equally important- I just don't know where the idea that other divers made it further and then the British divers blocked them is coming from- I've watched the same thing you're mentioning and didn't see anything about that. (And yes - I also saw that the British divers stopped at he same place all of the other divers stopped, and no one went past that bc it was too dangerous. But whe the rain let down, that's when the British divers went further and brought line with them.

There were three other cave divers who did the hard work. 1 belgian and 2 ukrainian divers risked their lifes to lay the line and pave the way for the brits so they can steal the fame. It’s a shame. But real heroes don‘t need fame, it‘s ok for them to remain unsung

what you talking about there were around 100 divers involved, searching alternate ways etc but ultimately the 2 British divers found them and laid the line to them, initially they were laying it for the Thai's, nobody stole anything the literal eyes of the world were watching in real time

@To L. Shame on you. There were 10,000 people from many countries who all helped to rescue these children and all you can do is say “fame” was stolen.
Non of the divers British, Ukrainian, Belgium sought fame, they all risked their lives to help.
Fame might be your God but to the rest of us this wasn’t about one country vs. another, it was about what happens when people from around the world work together to do good for others.
