Barnegat Bay Partnership: State of the Bay 2021

What is the overall condition of the Barnegat Bay? Has it changed over the last five years? To answer these questions, the Barnegat Bay Partnership (BBP) prepares a State of the Bay Report every five years. To create the report, a technical work group of Barnegat Bay scientists reviews data from recent and ongoing research to determine both the current status of, and overall trends in, the bay’s condition. The 2021 State of the Bay Report focuses on the eight Ecosystem-based Targets established in the BBP's 2021 Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan for the bay, and assesses the progress made towards achieving those targets.
