I don't plan on selling in a nationwide retailer but I found this video very interesting. Do the Whole Foods customers have a preference as

how did you learn to approach businesses for wholesale?
I was actually approached by them.
So initially how do you get into a retail store? Is there an application you need to fill out how does that work? Do they ask for certain requirements? Do you directly reach out to them and what department do you reach out to?
Thank you for the information! Question for you: who made your boxes and how did you come up with the design? Did you hire someone? If so, where did you find them? I’m having a hard time making my labels, much less finding someone to make my candle boxes (and not break the bank). Thank you!
A company called yourboxsolution.com made the box. And I hired a graphic designer for the design. If you’re struggling to find one, the box company has a list of designers that they work with.

Yes I use the same boxes for my customers. However I make their packages much nicer!

Honestly no. It’s easy to open the box to smell them.
@@HowToLymarie even if it has a lid too? Opening a box then having to open a lid seems like a lot to do in stores. I know we’ve all done it but i know stores don’t like it when people do that 😂

How do you get your upc label on the box? Who does that?
You can either use stickers or have your designer put the UPC on the box and have it printed directly on it

I'm trying to figure out barcodes right now. I thought it would be straight forward, but there seems to be different options. Which barcode type have you found that most retail stores in the US require? I see UPC, GLN, and EAN. And I'm sure there are others. help!! lol!

I used buyabarcode.com and they are GS1 which are universal UPC

Do I need a upc number to sell in local stores?
Usually in smaller store no but for large retailers yes. However some retailers have their own UPCs but it’s still best to buy your own
I don't understand why you say the "seller" has to pay for shipping that is simply not my experience or for anyone else who sells either on Etsy or Shopify or even Faire.
I’m talking about major retailers. When you sign a contract with a national retailer like Macys or Nordstroms, some of them make you pay for shipping. I’m not talking about Etsy or Shopify as that’s not wholesale.
