    No need to press on the foam and make it all wonky, just stick your thumb inside the ear cup, under the padding and press. You can feel the plastic edge you're pressing into the groove. Pressing your index finger along the edge of the headphone body, opposite the the thumb lets you press it in without denting up your headphones too.

    Thanks for the installation video. I've just fitted a set of AHG Pleather ear pads to my HD580 (from Amazon UK) and they fit perfectly but I have to get used to the very slightly different sound the new pads (or any new pads) give the headphones but so far so good.
    Fitting was easy but mine were still the original velour and as you pulled inwards as instructed the velour started to come away from it's mounting plate as the adhesive failed. If this happens stop and move to a different location on the pad and try again until the velour pad and mounting plate come away together as one. I can't see this happening with many Sennheiser HDs as I don't think anyone will leave their originals on as long as I have!

      @@GrahamAtDesk At the moment I have the PU leather version available in UK. I have not added the listing yet as my website developer is doing things to the site and has asked me to not update anything until next week. I have them at Amazon though. My velour and hybrid are still waiting to be shipped. PU Leather will create more seal and will usually increase the bass a bit. Depends on how much of an audiophile you are though. Sometimes any change is too much :). Hybrid model would add more seal but give you the velour comfort if PU is not preferred. I have tested all 3 models and there is not a huge change. These pads are also bigger than the originals, thicker and wider foam but I still did not notice anything drastic changing in sound.

      @accessoryhouse  Před 6 lety +3

      Martyn James hard to say as each person hears their music different. I own hd600, 650, 660s and feel the sound is similar, our reviews for the velour and Pu versions are very good. Our listings warn that any change of ear pads could cause a change in sound (even replacing old originals with new originals). Many people have had their original ear pads for 3+ years and over time have become accustom to the sound changing as the ear pads degrade but that is often not taken into account when a new set of ear pads is put on and they feel the sound has changed a lot. In reality, it often has returned the sound back to original. We offer a guarantee, so if you are not happy with the ear pads you can get a full refund upon return. Thanks

    First of All Original pads are Hybrid Pleather + Velour ( There are different quality Velours and the one used on originals are high quality) Secondly Velour is high breathable material thats why is used... Again the Foam Inside the Pads is HIGH AIR PENETRATED FOAM for a reason ...if u Use Memmory foam it doesnt breath like that and doesnt react fast on movement like foam does, Other than that Memmory foam is good for NC and for long lasting time . So its all about what Headphone u wil use them and on HD 6 series Gray Foam from originals is the best ...
    Thats why NONE of aftermarket pads sound good like Originals... If u find that type of Gray high penetrated air foam and use leather inside and good quality Velvet-Velour its the same outside then Yeah it will sound good... But its hard to find these materials on low cost.

    • @accessoryhouse
      @accessoryhouse  Před 3 lety +2

      The original ear pads are made with cotton based velour and you can rub it off with your finger. That is not a 'high quality' trait. The foam they use is cheap low grade foam, but it serves the purpose of giving the sound signature they want. Just because they use that foam does not make it high quality. Yes, memory foam is denser than the foam they use and it will change the sound a bit. Some people want the sound to change though. The PU leather lining will increase the seal and the bass, the velour model I offer is very similar to originals and buyers say that. I have the original pads here, I do not see any 'hybrid pleather and velour' material. Where did you hear the term 'high air penetrated foam'? They use the same foam on HD820 ear pads but I have never heard it called that. Is that what Sennheiser calls it?

I have Brainwavz and Dekoni Velours and if u want photo of them u gone see its different quality velour. Other than that we both agree that Inside foam or Memmory foam depends on the use and U understand that Foam that breaths more is better on that type open back headphones. The foam used inside this gray color that u see when u open them up if u try to find it and buy it is expenisive , the white or yellow is more cheap . Last If u have your Original Pads and Cant See that they are HYbrids with Pleather under it and Velur outside then U DONT have the original ones for sure ...
