I see a lot of comments saying that it’s slow . The thing is the ring is far from flat and with the added passengers too ….. that engines under massive load on the uphill sections . On a flat , straight road it would be faster
Yeah it's not slow. I think it got to 150mph+ on the fast stretch before any heat soak could happen, with 2 passengers.
It has the power. It isn't a gutted track car.
Nah, 330hp is being optimistic. Must have been a cold day in the dyno shop. 😂
It's plenty fast. There were three people in the car and you can tell he was taking it easy, for the most part.
I bet she'd be a ripper if he were soloing it.
Agreed, 3 grown men and heat soak. 330bhp/280whp (15% drivetrain loss) probably means it's running a small turbo like a k04 or gt25. Unless it's 330whp, which would be closer to 380bhp. The way it climbs from 80-130mph shows that it's pretty quick, even with all the extra weight.
MK7 GTI uses IHI IS20 turbo, the Clubsprot and Golf R get the bigger IS38 😀@@speedydragon
You can fully disable ESP via VCDS in ABS brakes. Change coding from 09 to 06 and you'll get ESP off like in Golf R. Makes massive difference.
I did not understand one bit of that but I'll see if I can do it in the Skoda Octavia vrs. It's been raining in this part of Australia for about a week and the roads are soaked and wheelspin is a needed part of acceleration lol
Absolutely love the golf Mark 7GTI brilliant video. Thank you so much Misha. Hope you’re doing well
I love and mostly watch your channel when you take out and drive the everyday car. Don't get me wrong the supercars a great and all but to see the potential and the capabilities of the average automobile grabs my attention more! Thanks Misha!
agreed. a real good driver has skills that make the drive look easy. i have a younger brother who drives a rally car, his skills are freaky
3:18 Misha's thought's on VW traction control that won't turn off... I'm dying 🤣
😂🤣🤣
🤮🤮🤮🤮 lol.
xDDD
Love to see some fast GTI's 🔥🔥
🤩 wow rear cam so cool 🤩
He needs OBDeleven (different than OBD-II) or VAGCOM to change settings allowing him to fully disable ECS/traction control - although it will still interfere slightly if you really break traction hard enough. Cobb AP3 would allow you to fully roast the tires if desired, as well as adding spark based traction control which makes a good difference as well
Gotta code out the ESC/TC for it to turn off completely by holding the button down. Definitely could benefit from some suspension work, at the very least RSB
I also had to code it out with the long press too... at least with an older module. its now a spin fest xD
No, the traction control still kicks on. The 2015 S without a LSD does what you mentioned. But not the newer ones with a LSD.
3:18 Me trying express to my mechanic what noise is my car doing. 🤪🤪
Next year another video with oil cooler would be good! That 330hp was definitely faster than some 500hp+ (?)
,,,.... , and 3 persons in the car ....., imagine only the driver and a car
weak lowering springs, about 300kg of people in it. full interior, plus probably stuff in the trunk of the car too. so yeah its a fast boi. @@markodzo
@@Underp4ntz_Gaming_Channelit’s not weak springs, it’s weak shocks that can’t hold hard springs
2025 will be the year of the oil cooler on Misha's channel
Misha, I drove your red Golf last year, had the same problem first laps especially in Carousel. Holding down the ESC for over 10 sec turned it completely off. :)
Thank you!
Traction can be turned completely off or with a ''V2'' version of it with an obdeleven. It works wonder and also send full power in first and second
Golf gang
Disable XDS in 03 ABS Brakes
Disable “Starting Vibration” in 03
Change ESC settings from 09 to 06 in coding within ABS Brakes.
Must do all the above and then traction will be completely off.
XDS helps to find traction, it’s not traction control system, that cuts power🤣
Why you advise when you don’t know
@@agnttgr I know, and do customer MK7 / MQB track cars for a living. Along with TCR cars, I can assure you I know what I’m talking about.
@@areamotorsport Congratulations! Your customer`s cars slower on track thanks to you, who turned off XDS. It`s useful unless you install real LSD (or VAQ) to the front differential.
I wouldn`t go to your service
@@agnttgr 😂😂 You are clueless. I’m just helping the person, you’re just exactly what is wrong with misinformation.
@@agnttgrthis car is a PP so has VAQ. And my reply to disable xds is to this owner.
With a basket full of eggs.. the nest did extremely well! 👍
Rofl... took me second to figure that one out😅
Nice to see a fellow northeast lad on the channel.
It is a Perfomance right? Does that LSD diff still work??
Also turn off the torque limiter in the ABS control module, via VCDS. Traction wont kick in anymore.
I knew it can be disabled completely somehow. Don't remember whether I've seen it on VCDS or the cars menu though
You can enable the option via VCDS to have it on the screen. You get ASR/ESC off instead of ASR off and ESC sport i think@@justus9694
It didn't perform like it had an LSD
I like the sound of it 😊
Why is it shifting at 6200 rpm? I've seen some GTIs shifting that early. It is supposed to shift at at least 6750 rpm and if it is stage 2, 7000 rpm
Good video
See it all the time. Oil cooler should be first mod on the list if tracking a car
Misha would you pick this or a gen 1 BRZ/gr-86?
busy start to the lap
UK Tune gotta become a meme Misha pls
Love the video. Could you drive an audi rs5 please
Ah us Brit’s love a hot golf ❤
I remember back in the days watching Top Gear, not being able to disable the "actual" traction control was the bigges drawback, sure it was the Rabbit version but...
Weee! A hatch! 😀
how often do we see a big turbo upgraded car have cooling issues. was a good lap for what it is and the xtra weight of brear passengers until you had to back off.
Hi! Whats the size of the wheels?
I am starting to think that I have the only stock GTI
Damn I love this car!
Misha, I have a question. Considering the track and its turns, where is it better to seat the third passenger for the best weight balance? On the left or on the right?
the middle?
in the trunk
He won’t reply now. He hit 1 million subs. Thats when they all stop replying.

👏 amazing
Is there any chance for you to try out Ecoboost Mustang?
Tire size is 235/40-18?

If you watch begin of the race and skip to the end of the race, you can see the fuel needle drops, wow how much fuel it drinks!
1/4 of a tank! wow...
He has an average consumption of 21mpg what do you expect
@@asssiesgaming453 Computer reading always incorrect.
They look very happy...
Altijd weer die oliekoeler.
That is ridiculous you can't turn traction control off.
Oil cooler radiator upgrade ASAP
Golf 🔥🔥🔥
Any idea if they are on stock turbo? i would think they upgraded to the Golf R turbo possibly?
No. If he had a Golf R turbo it would be well much faster.
they always try make more power before preparing to make more power, would be refreshing for you to get given a stock tune with upgraded cooling, brakes and maybe suspension and tyres
Because it's not a track car, he would never run into heat issues on the road. Mine is 380BHP with an IS38 and the stock oil cooler is perfectly fine for road use.
@@ollie8329 even still though, long trips, heavy loads, hot ambient temps. get stuck behind a bus in slow moving rush hour traffic in a heatwave. most cases you're okay, most cases your not driving the nords but in the times when you are in one of those cases you'll start to wish you done cooling first. even just upgrading the main radiator fan will go along way to keeping temps down.
@ughes5392 in those situations it would be no different to running a stock map, it's only going to overheat if you're constantly flooring it like on a race track
Seriously, the GTI is a fantastic platform for a fun street car, my k04 mk6 will overheat with any amount of track time but i can still have a blast in it day to day...@@ollie8329

10 seconds later; I think we're losing a bit of power maybe to heat soak 🙄🤣
Car auto shifts at 7k rpm
gas needle left the chat
Is the owner here? Whats the mileage on this car?
120 celcius is fine, as long as it doesnt go much over 130 you are safe but at these temperatures you really should run w40 or even w50 oil viscosity, w30 and lower will be too thin
Loll.. See how the fuel level drop
Horsepower engineers are on 🔥 😂😂😂
Guys, each one of them weighs 200lbs, they’re all tanked. Plus outside temp, plus the uphill parts, etc.
330hp crank, no doubt.
It’s 488 horsepower
no chance vs cupra haha
Hi why do you put the speed in kph when it's in mph but not the other way around?
The dials are in mph because it's a UK spec car, but they have changed the display to km/h because they're driving in Germany where km/h is used.
Misha the traction control is off, its the Electronic Diff trying to engage, that why it cut power like traction control. newer cars equipped with Electronic lsd all do this, including BMW m2.
its not completely off, its in sport mode. Then it allows a bit more compared to fully enabled, but still kicks in when things get more wild. It can however be coded so that instead of Sport mode it will turn TC off completely, but in this case the display clearly states "ESC Sport" at 2:09
Regarding the LSD, if its a Performance, it even has a real LSD rather than an electronic one, but I'm not sure if it is a Performance or not
It doesn’t have a electronic differential. This is a myth. It is a electronic controlled mechanical differential.
The XDS is the issue that no one disables, which is the system that applys brake pressure in certain cornering conditions. But this is no good for track use.
You don’t know what you are talking about… Why you try to advise when you go to work on a bus daily?
It’s traction control, you never notice XDS work in VW/ Audi car
@@areamotorsportXDS helps to put power down on any MQB car (even on RS3), you will never notice it’s working but it helps you rotate and accelerate car on power.
It’s TCS working in video
@@agnttgr I know what I’m talking about, more than most in the world with these cars. 😂
Muhammet Sefer selamun aleyküm kardeşim 😂👍🏻
Anyway powers irrelevant, it's red, has pro track wheels and he said it's got a titanium exhaust so that's at least 4 bags
Exhaust sounds bad IMO. If it's ACTUAL titanium and not some like jdm yo fake titanium shit then it's just there to save weight but it still sounds bad lol
Upgrade oil coolers on golfs they just drop valves otherwise
That’s like 230hp
Most flat boring engine sound of all time 😂
This car doesn't have "e-LSD"? Oil cooler and lsd needed!!
i think the e-LSD is useless. i know you can code the e-LSD in 3 modes like (Standard, Weak, Medium, Strong) but im not sure if there is any real difference. All golf GTI's should came with an e-LSD from factory. but its just the brakes that will be activated the brakes handle the power. so your pads will be basically get hotter and hotter
@@Underp4ntz_Gaming_Channel the Performance version has a real LSD which you can definitely feel
@@justus9694 the PP LSD is still electronic but yes you can really feel it when going round corners
@@ollie8329 if its Electronic, which means it still uses the ABS pump to correct and wear your pads, and also heat them up innit? So i think its better to turn it fully off in the code and get a real LSD. sadly they are expensive without even installing them... ugh... thats why most of us don't have a real mechanical LSD yet. expensive stuff and hard to do it yourself.
@4ntz_Gaming_Channel No it uses clutches inside the diff to control the wheelspeed which are electronically activated, its called a VAQ system. The only reason it would engage the brakes is because the TCS needs completely disabling in VCDS. But yeah I imagine it's no where near as good as a mechanical one still, i've only ever experienced the VAQ
Hair raising lap.
TF green car doing?
UK driver I guess?
Full stage 2 98oct can reach over 350hp at the crank with a good tune.
Manual is faster, too
There’s literally no cars showing 350hp on 100 octane fuel even in cold weather. E85 or WMI - sure no problem. 100 octane only 340hp with ton of air and exhaust mods. Regular car will show 320
What do you expect from a golf loaded with 3people inside… not gutted aswell like it‘s obvious that the car can‘t show it‘s full potential i myself see that with my Project C…
Se ha 200cv forse sono troppi...

@@Anthony_The_Chicken_Licker When did that happen?
@@gpajeyou can clearly see 2:22 poor engine 😭💔

Idk but feels like a 200hp car
This has to be the most boring gear ratios on a modern car
Misha, you "pressed" BMW to apex, I know you are faster driver, but that particular situation wasn't safe enough IMHO czcams.com/video/CbMpCAnFNJU/video.htmlsi=Iae5afep-HvZB98z&t=257
Seems slow for such a modified car - maybe because 3 people on board.
Every VW owner should have obdeleven to deactivate the TC fully :D
And 140Kg worh of human in the car, 1250Kg car weight+ fuel.
140kg? Lol more like 210-220kg. There's 3 people, no way they each weigh 47kg, otherwise they'd be taking a trip to hospital, not around the ring. Unless you're talking about just the passengers, then that makes more sense.
@@Gobbbbb sorry lol you're right
330hp? Lol not at the wheels bro
Nope, at the crank which is how we measure in the UK as thats how the manufacturers market them- we never buy a car based on its whp but its bhp, so thats why we measure in bhp when me modify 🤷🏼
Stock turbo? Definitely not 330whp, what tune? Seems like he did bolt ons, skipped the tune, and claimed stage 2 figures
Most people in the U.K will mean bhp at the flywheel unless they’ve been tuned on a hub dyno. Every dyno sheet I’ve ever had has been this way.
if the turbo is stock they cant go over 290 (safe for turbo). and if you want go over 290 you need twin scroll hybrid turbo (ko4 or whatever). and you can get 340 max (safe for engine).
if you wanna go higher than 340 you need a couple of new forged engine internal. never mind this,... this is for EA888.2 engine.
The EA888.3 (which is in the mk7) could hold 320 max with stock turbo. and the clubsport version of the engine (yes it has forged internals just like Golf R) you can get 390 max and 450 max with a bigger turbo
@@Underp4ntz_Gaming_Channelif you wanna be on the safe side prolly but otherwise I make 400whp and 390tq on my ea888.3 and it’s been fine lol
@@Underp4ntz_Gaming_Channelagain, you don’t know what you are talking about… Why you try to advise your stupid thoughts?! It’s GEN3 engine, it doesn’t even have k04. It’s IS20 in stock engine, it can go up to 340hp with right mods (intercooler, exhaust, 1.6 bar boost and good engine angle)
EA888.3 can hold 500hp, ton of cars on stock internals and it’s fine on drag and on track
You must have a turbo upgrade to make that. I don't quite have 400whp on my s3. OFC you must have a golf R or something though thinking about it.@@Yaboybash
Doesn’t seem that fast for 330bhp
330hp at the crank, plus loaded with 3 people. It's about right.
Slow for 330hp
over 150 wtf, anything over 110 is bad ghee
More than 250 HP does not make sense with fwd imo.
Yes it does, it's not slipping when you floor it above 30mph in the dry
My 2003 gti 1.8t would go around that track faster.
One more broken car.
shouldn't of had the guy in the back. Although you just have to press traction control once to let the front wheels completely loose.
Sick vid tho!
He's doing laps to experience the car and give people a ride around the ring, he isn't trying to set records or go as fast as possible.
He's giving an experience, nothing wrong with having extra passengers.
I get that he isnt trying to set record but 3 grown ass men in a golf wit a 2.0 T isnt liking it.

330 hp???? Jajajajaja, come on dude, be serious, a good joke
230hp maybe without passangers 250 at most
sory but this is not 330HP
Why?
GLI, GTI/R, A3/S3 all run roughly 330whp at stage 2. He’s got full turbo back , and bolt on’s. So yeah, it’s 330whp/390-400 crank hp.
